Perfect blend of weight/comfort/size

I bought this thermarest because I was familiar with their original selfinflatting mattress for backpacking and I wanted something larger for for the less weight restrictive kayak camping I would be using it for. This mattress provides good size, packability, comfort, and light weight and is hard to beat. Campmour was quick to gettting it shipped and on it's way to me.

You only need to buy it once!

Still using my original Thermarest after 20+ years. Bought this one for my grandson. Been backpacking the NH Presidentials since 1959 so I've had the opportunity to try everything from balsam branches on up. For comfort, weight and durability you can't find anything better!

Woo Hoo

If you don't roll over in your bag, this is the ticket! It packs small, fits in it's bag, and works well with the Thermarest chair frame. You will not be disappointed with this one. Sleep tight!

Sleep Tight

My old self inflating pad is slippery. This pad is great I don't slide off this one. It is also much lighter. Love it!

a bit in the middle on this

I got this mattress on sale & was glad for that as I'm not sure it's worth the usual asking price. I think it's a bit lame to charge that much for this & not even include a bag/repair kit, the bag cost me an extra $15!
I recently used it 2 nights in a row & the comfort was alright but not outstanding, also not sure how long it's supposed to take to "self-inflate" for these as after over half an hour mine was no different than when I unrolled it & I ended up blowing it up manually. I don't think it will ever roll down as small as it was when new but the storage bag I had to buy for it is plenty big to allow for that.
I've yet to use this in temps below the 40's so not sure how the temp rating will be, I would probably recommend this to a friend but would let them know exactly what I've experienced & let them decide on the price vs product here.
