Extra space with room left on the rack | |

| Lightweight but need two to install. One person can remove given the way it attaches. We like because it gives extra space for hiking gear but leaves room for bikes or a kayak on the rack. If you pack a lot of loose gear (rain gear, extra parkas etc) you can jam up against the locking bar. Haven't used for skiing but looks like it would work as designed. | |
