Thule's 554XT Hang Two Surf Board Carrier with Straps is the deluxe way to transport up to two boards. Note: The Thule 504 Surf Straps are needed for carrying the second board. This carrier mounts to the top of your Saab load bars or roof rack.
Whoa brah, Thule's Hang Two Surfboard Carrier holds two boards securely to whatever rack you have on top of your woody station wagon, dude. What's that? We're perpetuating the stereotype that surfers are inarticulate blond guys who drive cars that never made it out of the 70s? Geez, chill bro. You'll be stoked to know that the Hang Two is set up for two boards and will work on almost any rack, not just Thule. The strong, easy-to-use straps provide serious transport security and board protection, siiiick.

The popular Hang Two Carrier is upgraded with factory rack compatibility and improved board protection.

The upgraded Hang Two surfboard carrier has improved factory-rack compatibility and greater board protection for two surfboards.

Definitely Solid but needs longer straps

| I enjoy this product because it protects the rails of my board from being cinched down too hard like they were with a soft rack system. I carry a 9'4'' on it, and occassionally one other board on top too, but the straps included are too short for any more than a couple longboards (esp. when they are in board bags). These could certainly be easily replaced with a trip down to the hardware store, and I'll admit the short straps are a positive in that their short length prevents them from flapping incessantly at high speed. Adjusting it in the middle of winter is not hard, but not much fun with cold fingers. I think the best use is someone who throws the same board on their car often, and doesn't need to deal with adjusting or worrying about longer straps. The click-in design (where strap disconnects and connects to rubber) of the system works well, although I was admittedly a bit skeptical at first. The racks also tend to whistle on my car (Saab), btu this is more of a nuisance which turning up the stereo volume cures with ease. | |

Excellent Surboard Rack

| This is an excellent surfboard attachment. It works well on my factory rack and Thule car rack. The attachment does an excellent job at securing boards to the roof of my cars. The only downsides are that the board capacity is limited to two, and if you lose a screw you have to order the entire spare parts pack from Thule. I think they charged me [$] for a bag of nuts and bolts. Overall, this is a great surfboard attachment, and I would recommend it to anyone. | |

| Very stable and easy to use. Only Con was that although it does fit my factory rack ..I had to purchase 8 new bolts that are longer to make it fit. (Its not the price...FYI, the bolts cost me about 2 dollars from Loews the annoying part is there is no idication of this by Thule and I had to go get them the night b4 a surf trip. Otherwise its a great rack system and definatly feels a lot more stable then my old method (soft rack.) | |

Easy to use, true to description

| This has worked great - it was very easy to put on my factory rack and ready in 5 minutes. Straps are a little bit short when I have two boards stacked on the rack, but still work well. This rack is simple and practical. Have not taken on a long trip yet, but I would trust it on the highway. Two longboards are the max for the length of the straps. | |

Easy and Works Great | |

I bought this for my 2008 Honda CRV, and it works great on the stock roof rack. It comes with 4 very well made brackets that attach perfectly. I've only used it for one long board, but I'm sure it'll work fine with two. No need for any soft pads, just place the board between the rubber brackets and strap down. Extremely solid, and a piece of cake to use!

Thule surfboard carrier

| I use the carrier to transport longboards to the Maine coast March through November. The 150 mile trek from Connecticut can encounter tough traffic situations, high winds in the spring and bitter cold temperatures. The Thule carrier has no problem carrying three nine foot boards. I heartily recommend the carrier system which attaches easily to the cross bars of either my SUV or Volvo sedan. | |

| I have a 4-runner, and the surf carrier fit directly to my factory rack very easily. No extra pads or hardware needed. I have carried the board over hundreds of miles and it is very stable in all conditions. | |
