The Thule Hitch Ski Carrier converts most Thule trailer hitch bike racks into a ski rack that fits up to six pairs of skis or four snowboards. It converts Trailblazer, Hitching Post, Expressway, Rak-N-Loc, and Spare Me bike racks. Thule makes loading the Hitch Ski Carrier easy by included a rubber strap that holds the skis while you tighten the locking arm. Thule redesigned the Hitch Ski Carrier to accommodate fatter skis. The Hitch Ski Carrier locks with the same cylinders as your bike carrier, so you can just swap them when you convert the rack.

| Kind of a pain to put together, but once you get it on there it works. None of the thule hitch racks or accessories technically fit my car. I have a Jeep wrangler unlimited Rubicon. The spare tire is so big that you cant get to the release to swing hitch mounted bike racks down. Oh and for those who were wondering this thing can hold up to 4 snowboards. I have tried wide boards and boards up to 161cm long and they all fit. I believe that you can fit up to 6 pairs of ski's in this thing as well. Or a combination of 2 snowboard and three pairs of ski's. | |

The carrier is easier to assemble than IKEA furniture. I'm using the Hitch Ski Carrier with the Thule Spare Me Spare Tire Mount on a 1998 Jeep Wrangler. The ski carrier fits snugly on the Mount but is slightly off center. It's not going anywhere but if it fit a bit more flush I'd like it even better. | |
