The Thule Parkway Hitch is a simple bike carrier that safely and conveniently transports up to four bikes. This bike rack hooks right into your vehicle's hitch to make getting your bicycles to the trailhead simple and worry-free. This bike rack features Thule's classic cradles, which secure and protect your bikes' frames. Thanks to the dual arm design, there is no need for top-tube adapters on certain bikes—this carrier holds 'em all. Thule included tie-down straps but encourages you to upgrade with the Zip Stick [part 950] for added bike stability and anti-sway. The four-bike Parkway Hitch Bike Carrier can transport up to 140lb (63.5kg).

Purchased Thule Parkway 2" for a 14-hour (mostly interstate) family vacation road trip. Wanted a quality entry-level rack. Loaded it up with two adult mountain bikes and two kids bikes (oddly shaped) -- all of varying weights, sizes, tube dimensions. All fit just fine and remained remarkably stable even at interstate speeds -- no swaying. Easy to assemble. Solid construction. Very pleased. | |

If you have a standard shaped road or mt. bike you will be good to go. I would recommend replacing the top pin so that it folds down. It holds the bikes on well and does not scratch them up. | |

It is a good rack, easy to install. But it's not designed for some odd shape bikes, you gonna need a adapter for them which is another $20 or $30. Though the rack could swing down to load bikes, the top part could not be fold as some advanced model. If you happen to have a small garage, it will block the door. I bought a 3/8" ($5) pin from LOWES, replace one bolt to make the topper part able to fold. | |
