The Thule Revolver Bike Rack lets you transport up to four bikes on your hitch without sacrificing access to your trunk. If you have a SUV or hatchback, this hitch bike rack keeps your options open—pardon the pun. Connect the Revolver Bike rack to your automobile's 2-inch hitch and set your bikes on the T3 Cradles. These cradles lock down your bikes while allowing complete adjustment along the bike arm. Once they're locked in, your bikes aren't going anywhere thanks to Thule's No Sway Cage, the included integrated locking cable, and a STL2 hitch lock. If you forgot something in the back of your ride, no problem. Simply swing down the Revolver Bike rack so you can open the back door. If you need help figuring out if this rack is right for your car, feel free to call our gear experts at 800-409-4502.

Great Product | |

I considered pretty much every rack out there. All of them have tradeoffs. I didn't want to have the bikes in the way when I needed to get something out of the back of my SUV (which happens quite a bit with kids on a roadtrip).

Fits with spare mounted on door
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Application: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser with rear door mounted spare tire. Super sturdy and swings WAY out of the way with ease. Plenty of clearance even with the full size spare mounted. Minor issue with engaging threads of lower locking handle (took some time to figure out the alignment had to be just right). MAJOR ISSUE with fitment for my bikes. Out of three bikes (one mid-grade mountain bike, one Schwinn mountain bike from Target, and one kiddie mountain bike) only the Schwinn fit (with difficulty). I had to purchase two adpaters($40 each) to fit the other bikes. Probably works very well with a standard road bike but be prepared to shell out an extra $40 per "non-standard" bike. Even so, I still give four stars for the quality of build and general ease of use. Oh yeah, and MADE IN USA!!! | |

Pretty Cool Product | |

The revolver pretty much meets all my requirements. I needed to carry 3 bikes and have the convenience of swinging it out of the way. I use it to haul our bikes when we go camping. With all the stuff we have inside the SUV, we could open the liftgate without any hassle.

2007 Jeep Wrangler | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I own a 2007 Jeep Wrangler and this rack will fit and works great with just enough room to spare between spare and rack, as opposed to the Yakima Swing Away which will not fit at all due to the spare tire and swing away tailgate. Swings out with enough room on the side as well although with 2 bikes, does tend to bend at full extension. With down tube addition, bike is quite steady, even dual suspension without an add a bar. I would be hesitate to fit more than 3 mountain bikes. | |

Great for my needs | |

| The bike rack itself has been incredible. Have consistently traveled with 3 bikes without incident. It's sturdy and I have no worries about my bikes falling off during drives on bumpy fire roads (i.e. Moab). My only disappointment has been that the swing arm doesn't open wide enough with my bikes on it so that I can lift the tailgate on my SUV. I can open the tailgate window with no problem so it hasn't been a deal breaker. I will have have recommended this rack to friends. | |

Perfect Product for my RV

| I have a Roadtrek RV with double rear doors. I often need to access the RV from the back. It's so easy to move the bike rack out of the way with the bikes on it. It took a while for me to figure out how to put it together, but [...] offered to put it together for me. I would buy this product again for any large car if easy access to the rear is needed. For me it is worth every penny ([$]) it cost me. | |

Fits great, works great

After checking out all the Thule and Yak products (May 2008) in search of a hitch rack for my RAV4 with its side opening rear door and external spare tire, the Thule Revolver proved to be the only ticket. It works great. Sure it takes a few minutes to get all 4 bikes on, but the more you do it the faster you get. Once loaded, the bikes are rock solid; no sway or noise. The built-in cable lock is a nice feature too.

Quality bike rack solution
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I bought Thule's "Trailblazer" in '04 and found it to be good quality, reliable and easy to use. However, that product was recently recalled due to a safety concern [...] I reselected Thule's new "Revolver" which is the 'like' item to what I previously owned. It is very similar to the the original "Trailblazer" with a few nice improvements to make safer and even more user-friendly. I am very satisfied with my new Thule "Revolver" bike rack [...] | |

Looks great, works great, feels solid. I have a Eurovan and it fits perfectly without a problem. I opted for the 4 bike carrier, even though we only have two bikes, since other feedback suggested a tight fit. Also, the bikes are nice (serious road bike and a really nice mtn bike) so I didn't want to chance getting them banged up over a space issue.

good but not perfect | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| can be tricky to get 4 full-size bikes on this, but it's possible. top retaining straps sometimes balky, and installing on trailer hitch sometimes risks a hernia, but swing-away feature to allow access to back of car is very convenient. This is a bit heavy, but pretty solid, and overall a very good rack. | |

pain to use and secure | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| for small or unusual frames you need to use and add on bar. The straps can scratch and rub the paint on the bikes too. Take a lot longer to use this type of rack vs. a roof rack or a hitch rack that has trays. | |

4-Bike hitch-too good to be true!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This only holds 3 comfortably unless you want all your bikes scratched up. Very heavy...should fit a large SUV...no small cars. Swings in nice but hard to screw together to hold the swing arm in. | |

Sturdy, Quick - Could Be Better
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Solid Rack. More than three bikes can be tough. The swing away lock nut, while very secure, is slow to unscrew and could be designed better. The spring pin could also be strengthened. The lock cable retainer could be designed for long term use since without it the cable will drag on the ground while the rack is in the stowed position. This is a solid rack. It is quick to load with one or two bikes. Beyond that it requires a little time. The design seems rushed with some shortcuts that for the price are unreasonable. Although, you will find identical problems on the yakima solution. I would and have recommended this rack to a friend, with a disclaimer and only because there is nothing better on the market for this solution. | |

Thule 4 bike carrier? | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
Excellent quality, construction and features all of which you should expect from Thule and for the price. Bars are too short though, making it extremely difficult to fit 4 bikes on the rack at once. Bikes have to be jammed against and into each other to fit them all on the rack. I've tried all kinds of combinations of bike size and arrangement but rack is still too small. Anti sway cradles are a bit of a nuisance as well especially when taking bikes on and off of rack, they have to be removed each time to make it easier to get the bikes on and off.
