If you need to carry multiple whitewater kayaks, the Stacker makes transporting these boats on any vehicle as easy one, two, three, four.
The Stacker is a standby for hauling whitewater kayaks on your roof rack. Evolved considerably from its beginnings as an undistinguished vertical loop, the Thule Stacker now has a separate upper bridge that makes it easy to tie your boats down. The Stacker holds up to four boats and folds down for a cleaner look and reduced wind profile when not in use.

Keep your bikes at home stacked and safe with the Thule® Bike Stacker.

Carry up to four kayaks and are the most efficient way to carry multiple whitewater kayaks. The Stacker can be mounted directly on Thule load bars, Yakima round bars and most factory installed cross bar systems, as well as the Thule Xsporter truck rack system.

Inexpensive solution | |

This kayak rack item is a well crafted, nice looking and relatively inexpensive answer to carrying your boats. You can put four kayaks on a small car securely with some effort. It's a bit harder to turn your kayak up on its side and strap in down to the Stacker than it is to slide it up on a cradle carrier, but if you need to carry more than two kayaks and cost is an issue, then this carrier fills the bill. It fits 95% of factory crossbars and works with Yak bars as well. The J style carriers from Thule and Yak work fine, but check out the cost. The Stackers fold down when not in use--helps a bit with gas mileage and looks better. My advice is to strap each kayak to the Stacker and then another strap around both kayaks and the Stacker. More straps means bomb-proof security at 70mph, not to mention the turbulence from big rigs on the interstate. This is a good looking kayak carrier that delivers. Easy on, easy off.

works super well. I also had one kayak on top of my car. I say had because the kayak was stolen right out of the rack.... BUT this rack is still locked to my car so it's not going anywhere.

The Simple solution! | |

This really is a great and simple solution to carrying more than one kayak and not having to buy a number of different holders. You can carry up to 4 kayaks with this thing depending on the size of the vehicle, Now that's some serious bang for the buck!

Very nice | |

| Bought these when I bought our kayaks (Wilderness Systems Pungo 100, Dagger Blackwater 120). We already had a factory roof rack on our mini van so these worked very nice on the existing rack bars. The nice part is the fact that they lay down in between the bars of the rack when not in use so the van still fits in the garage - SWEET!! Simply loosen the wing nut and lay the support down parallel with the roof top and tighten the wing nut. The supplied straps are plenty long enough. I haven't used the ratchets (ropes). Nice product and reasonable when compared to the other racks we priced. | |

I love my Stacker | |

I've got my Stacker on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm carrying (2) 10' kayaks on it. I love it. I can single handedly have my kayaks up on the carrier and tied down in less than 10 min. If it's windy, having another person to hang on to the the first kayak while loading the second is helpful. Another helpful tip is to have your straps in place; next up go the kayaks, toss the straps over the top and then tie them down...simple as that. And I'm looking VERY COOL when going down the road, too. : )-

Thule Stacker | |

I bought these so I can have the option of carrying 2 or more kayaks and still be able to pull the car into the garage without removing it. The "J" rack was too high. The Thule Stacker folds down. The Yakima stacker takes up less space on the bars, but if you have square bars, it doesn't fold down. So the Thule is working out well for me.

A miracle of modern science!

| This kayak rack is very intuitive. I can fit four kayaks of any size on the roof of my vehicle with ease, and when we arrive at our destination, they unload even easier! The only bad thing about these racks is the price. You also have to have the crossbars already installed on your existing rack before you can use this one. I can't resist saying "Nice rack!" | |

The Stacker | |

The Stacker works great! We easily carry three kayaks (one tandem, two singles) atop our Honda Odyssey. Install the straps through the stacker first and lay them out toward the front and rear of the vehicle. After the kayaks are placed on top a simple flip of the strap and you are ready to secure!

Kayak stacker | |

This is a good solid product. It is stable, easy to use and install, and reliable. The only downside is that attaching the straps around the kayaks when the stacker is attached to a mini-van roof rack can be a bit of a chore.

The Thule stacker works great on our Saturn Redline Vue. At first we were worried we couldn't put any car rack on our Redline Vue due to the sports package roof. However with the Saturn Crossbars, the stacker works great.

Try a different rack | |

| I purchased this rack, my first, in 2007 to transport my two kayaks. It is difficult to load the boats and then secure them. You have to balance and lean the boats against the rack while you get the straps ready. The straps are not rachet straps, and come loose easily. Boats are loaded on their side and one of my boats always slipped during transport. | |
