Best backpacking hat EVER
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I purchased the Tilley T3 to replace my last backpacking hat. The brim is wide enough to provide excellent shade, but not large enough to interfere with a large backpack. It fits loosely but stays on my head even with unpredictabe Pacific winds. I confidently expect this to be the last backpacking hat i'll ever buy. | |

| Wonderful hat - probably the best sun hat you can buy. Got a great deal on it, too. Highly recommended. | |

Great Hat! | |

| Comfortable and sturdy. Great job shedding rain. Probably not the best for hot conditions. | |

Good quality but expensive

| This hat is what it claims to be, however you can get the same performance for less money. Although it is "crushable", if you roll it up and leave it in you bag for a couple hours the brim will reshape, and you need to wash/iron the brim back in shape. Hat is very durable and feels solid, but I don't think I've ever really worn out a hat. Personally I'm going to try something smaller / lighter / more compact. | |
