Great All-Around Winter Hat
A Tilley hat may not always be the most stylish or cheapest hat on the market but they do fill a niche. If you want a rugged, durable, and packable hat for any type of outdoor use then a Tilley is always a safe bet. While I usually sport an Akubra (and sometimes a Stetson) for casual and work wear, I own a few Tilley hats that fit the bill for camping, backpacking, paddling, and general outdoor use. The TW2 winter hat may be my favorite Tilley however! This hat (charcoal in my case) can cross-over from casual to even "slightly" dressy winter use. I can use it when clearing my driveway of snow on a Sunday morning and keep it on when attending church services. Much more "grown up" than a ball cap, this one is also more functional. With the wind straps and fold-down forehead and ear covers, it really keeps you protected from blowing snow and winds. The foam insert and velcro compartment in the crown are very useful and functional features. As with all Tilley hats, make sure to get at least one size larger than your normal hat size for a lower, more relaxed fit.
Great all-around winter hat!

You'll like me
As commented on already buy one size larger. This was still a little snugger than I liked but then the rim stretched a little more with wearing and was comfortable but still snug. If hat were to loose I would have been concerned a strong wind would blow it off as I wanted to use this for winter sailing in a 37 foot sailboat. Ear flaps helped quite a bit. Warm but not wind proof and haven't had it out in the rain. Good investment if I don't take it off and forget it some where. :-)

Christmas Blizzard Present
I received this hat for Christmas and immediately put it to the test with a blizzard that is dumping a foot of drifting snow with 35 mph winds. put it on this Christmas morning at 5:30 am to start digging out so my daughter could get to her shift at the hospital. For an hour and a half this hat kept my ears and forehead warm , even with the wind directly in my face. Great hat, even stylish! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a great hat

Great winter head gear.
Had my eye on this hat for some time. I measured my head accurately and the fit was perfect. Used outdoors in any winter conditions Alaska can toss at me here in South Central. It stays on in a strong wind while protecting the neck and ears in a blizzard. Hat looks good in town working around our property or on the trails. Very well made with a solid durability feel. It also has a lifetime warranty so keep your receipt.

Cozy, stylish, durable
It packs well and keeps it's shape. It's a nice look for a woman's hat. It's warm and cozy but because it is wool, gets slightly itchy if you get at all warm/if your head sweats. That's likely though, since it is so warm! Anyway, I had to give it away because of that but I'd have otherwise kept it. The friend who wears it now loves it. (She's not as sensitive to wool.)

This is the winter hat!
This is my husband's second Tilley (actually, the third. He wore the first one out and received a free replacement). His first was a summer model that he loves. This is his winter hat and he LOVES it. It not only keeps his head warm and the rain off his face but it is also very jaunty. He is always getting compliments and questions about the hat. Tilley's are the best!

like this hat a lot
I love this hat. I travel for a living and like that it packs flat in my suitcase. It's great for cold weather, sun in eyes, snow and wind. And, it looks professional with my topcoat. My only complaint would be its crumpled look, wishing it had a hard (maybe plastic?) insert in the front of the crown to make it stand taller and less wrinkled. Otherwise, it's a great hat.

Great Winter Hat
I like this hat but I like all Tilley hats. I wanted a Tilley to wear in cold weather. This hat is warm yet breathes in warmer winter weather.
As with all Tilley hats, order one size larger than your regular hat size.
The warmest hat I have owned
This hat is very warm when it 10 degrees out. Keeps it's shape fairly good. I would recommend this hat to anyone who wants a warm good looking hat.
