Zappos Review of Timberland Pro's - I am a Contractor from the USA working in Kuwait and am required to wear protective steel toe shoes. I have tried many other work boots but my job requires me to be on my feet for a minimum of 12 hours per day. Most of the other work boots made my feet ache and as a result I believe my work boots caused me to have back pains as well as exhaustion. Since I have been wearing the Timberland Pro's that I ordered from Zappos I have experienced comfort.

The Timberland PRO Expertise Hiker is tough and comfortable, provided you take out the thin foot liner and put in something a bit more supportive. This boot took me to 11,200' on Mt. Shasta through rough volcanic rock, and other than a bit of dust, came through great. The steel toe is required by my work but also is good for rough country conditions. It is a through back heavy boot, but lighter in weight than the old solid leather types. I intend to use them for my work in the oil fields too.

Timberland PRO's Expertise Hiker Steel Toe - I ordered these boots for my dad who works in a hot store room and needed steel toed boots. He said that they are very comfy and breathe much better than the boots he was originally wearing. They are also easier on his back with all the cushioning.

Excellent shoe - Love these boots. The only thing I could live without is the steel toe, but it is no big deal. I bought these boots for winter wear; not work. Highly recommend. They fit great and are awesome in snow and on ice.

Altrec shipping got them to me when I needed them. Boots are good quality and hold up well to extremely rugged volcanic environment I am in. Weight is good. Protection is excellent.

Very tough

Very tough boot, also very light for a steel toe. Boots are very comfortable for standing on ladders for extended periods of time & have good traction.

I work between 12 to 14 hours. I bought these boots since always I wear Timberland 7-24 pro series. These boots after break in are great on comfort and very safe with the steel toe. The only bad thing is after 3 months of using them they the laces break, then after the boots start breaking apart on the sole and became useless. Great but for light work not for extra work, won't buy these boots again ever. But still with other styles on Timberland pro series 7-24.

Don't count on these lasting very long. I like the look and the comfort of these boots but the durability just isn't there. After a month or so the nylon straps that the laces run through ripped out and I had to have a shoe shop install metal d rings to lace.

Great Shoe Except - I have had these boots for less then a month and they are already coming apart at the side seams. They are very comfortable but for a work boot this style is not the most durable for oil and dirt.
