The men's Timberland(r) Chocorua Trail boot is built for rugged on- and off-trail use in wet or inclement weather conditions. It features a GORE-TEX(r) membrane which creates a waterproof/breathable barrier, keeping out water while allowing moisture vapor to pass through. The EVA midsole offers lightweight cushioning, and the stitch and turn tip provides added durability.

Good boot, good fit, great price

| I purchased these boots for my AT trip. The salesman thought I was crazy when I asked to step on an angled board to see if foot slides to toe box. The boot performed nicely. I then used them on my AT trip and they worked wonderfully. There are only two things I had problems with. The first is the rubber on the toe separated from leather only after one week in rockslyvannia. The second, after 375 miles on the trail I hit an extreme thunderstorm the boots were soaked, as were my feet. The boots took the night and half of the next day to dry. Overall I am buying another pair in a few weeks with a little silicone spray. | |

Great for walking the dog

| I bought this product to walk my dog in wet weather. I found them comfortable for 30 minute dog walks all winter, with decent hiking socks. I thought I would need to use my insulated boots when it got below zero, but these were warm enough. Hiked to the top of Yosemite falls with them. Comfortable. Only downside is that the tongue gusset is about 2" short of the top of the tongue, so the boot isn't waterproof all the way to the top. I normally wear 10.5D or 11C. I bought 11's and use them with good hiking socks. | |

| Just got them - Use them to walk my dog on the golf course behind us & general use. Although not a hiker per say, my walks include everything you would find on a hiking trail, high grass, elevation changes, standing water etc. Took them out for the first day after a early thaw. Plopped through water, snow & high grass, mud - Kept my feet dry & warm, very comfortable from day one. Very happy with my choice | |

good but not the best | |

| I am an avid backpacker and I have completed the entire AT and I must say for the money this is one of the best boots I have owned. But over long distances they tend to decay, leaving uncomfortable hot spots on your feet. But for the average person who is not planning a 5 month long excursion this is a fine boot to have | |

Great Boots! | |

| Great boots for all types of weather, winter and summer. Handles the cold and snow as well as hot weather because they are breathable, and my feet never get wet when splashing through ankle-deep water. Very light and comfortable. | |

Not a good value | |

| Strengths: Waterproof, durable upper, relatively comfortable after break in. Weaknesses: Painful and long break-in, sole wears out quickly, sturdy enough for only easy hikes, sole separates from upper. These boots have been good for wearing around town, but have not stood up to even moderate trails...they just don't have the sturdiness. The first few weeks of owning them were also a trial, as the top lace loops broke off and my shins and feet were sore until they broke in. After that, they became too flexible for any kind of trail wear. A year later, the tread is gone and I'm ready to spend a little more for a lot more boot. | |

poor quality | |

| I had these boots for a month. I used them around town for about two weeks to break them in before hiking. I went on a 20 mile overnight trip and the boots tore my feet up. I had blisters on my toes, and heels. When I got back, I noticed the sole peeling away from the leather. spend an extra 20 dollars and get a solid pair of boots, from a company that makes HIKING boots. | |

Not as rugged. | |

| Good looking boot. Feel comfortable right out of the box. Brown leather is nice but gets dirty quickly. After wearing them for a week. The dark green fabric used between the leather on the sides ripped. This was with normal use and I did not snag it on anything. Expected more from Timberland. | |
