Re-review - I'm back 2 and a half years later to re-review these hikers. I live in the Ozarks and my home is surrounded by well over 100 acres of pristine hardwood with lots of scenic rock formations. I've been up and down these rocky woods all the while wearing my Timberland Pro Titans. These boots have been awesome! They're no longer "pretty" but they are still completely intact and no less supportive. The only shoe construction damage is the loss of some of the orange threading around the heel; regardless, there has been no material separation compromising the boot. The toe covering is understandably beat up, but it's still roomy, protective and intact. I've replaced the laces obviously, because no one can make laces strong enough to outlast the life of these boots. I imagine barring some unforeseen tragedy, that these boots will last another two and a half years easily. Boots put to the test almost daily and still going strong? If I retire my Timberland Pro Titans in the near future, it'll be with another pair.

I have now owned 4 pairs of these boots and they are by far the best boot I have ever purchased. I work in the Power Plant Construction / Start-Up business; working 7/12s most weeks and these boots keep my feet very happy. They are not heavy like other boots, are cool, and watertight. I have gotten 8 to 12 months of service out of each pair I have owned. There is no "break-in" period required; they feel super comfortable from day one. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone. By the way, I have found them to be true to size and when they say EE-wide they really are EE-wide (which is good for me). I have bought boots in the past that have carried the EE designation and they were not at all wide like one would expect and proved to be uncomfortable.

I bought my first pair of these just three months ago. I remember looking at the price tag and thinking "this much??!" I wear out work boots like you would not believe. It’s not unusual for me to buy a new pair every three months. Three months after I buy these, they’re still kicking. Literally. I haven’t worn out the steel toe in the slightest, though the rubberized toe covering is looking less than new. Comfortable, pretty good looking for a work boot and stands the test of the working world well. The only downside is that they’re not very waterproof. If your working in wet climates, weatherproofing these is a must. They were water resistant for the first two months, and then they weren’t. Bottom line, take care of waterproofing and this shoe will take care of you. Highest marks timberland.

These boots are the absolute best all around shoe for comfort and durability. I am working on my third pair right now that I mainly use when I am supposed to "look nice" in the field. But the fact is that I still have the other two pairs that are still serviceable. I switch them out with when my feet finally get wet. Like the AK reviewer said, you need to waterproof them and my recommendation is to replace the laces with "minor cord". The laces wear out fast and most of the time when they break I am not in a place to go shopping. (Minor cord can be obtained at most outdoor shops that sell backpacking and climbing gear. Cut to your desired length and burn the ends to prevent fraying.)

Great for Wide Feet! I have a square foot (7.5/EE) and it is very hard to find a shoe that is wide, comfortable, light weight (titanium toe), and durable. I've tried all the name brands and finally found a shoe that fits the bill! It didn't require a break-in period! And I have had them for a couple months now. I am on my feet a lot. I did have to add an insert for the arch, not unusual for me. And I do wish that their inserts were removable. Other than that, when these wear out, I will replace them with another pair without hesitation. With Zappos no-hassle returns, what do you have to lose?

Great work boot - I have owned these for about 1 year and they are still in great shape. I don't wear them everyday but I wouldn't mind if I had to. They are comfortable in winter and summer, good water proofing(haven't been in anything over about 2 inches), and good quality build. They are comfortable to wear all day without a problem and were comfortable right out of the box. I'll never own another brand of steel toe work boots. If you need a steel toe, this is a great boot for all day wear.

These are by far, the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn! From day 1, right out of the box! This is my second pair!!! I bought them just to put in the closet, for whenever my first pair wears out. I've had my first pair over a year now, and they show very little wear. I wear them all the time, around town, in the woods, everywhere! They look great, they're comfortable. Who could ask for more!?

My 2 pair - I just picked up my 2 pair. The 1 pair lasted 10 months of 5 days a week ware for work. They are not tight on the toes for a steel toe unlike the Redwings I can’t wear. The uppers last great with rain and a mild winter with spilled alcohol spilled over many times. The sole had even wear, but did wear out the inside liner. A really good boot.

Terrific Work Boot! My husband is a machinist and is on his feet 10 hours a day standing on concrete. He's tried so many different types of boots and each one has caused him foot pain. I recently purchased him these based on other comments by shoppers on Zappos and have not been disappointed. Finally - a boot that works as hard as he does and is comfortable with it.

The most durable work boots I have owned!!!!!! These are the best steel toe work boots I have owned. I have had them for 8 months and the laces are still intact. The rubber over the steel toe hasn't worn though and they are not falling apart. Very comfortable, the size runs a little large. Would recommend to anyone who works on a sloppy jobsite.

They are comfortable. They have a "nice" look to them. They are NOT for industry/shop/outdoor applications. I almost fell on my axe about a dozen times in the 4months I've owned them. The treads are starting to fall apart too. NOT durable at all! Stay away from these boots!!

junk, seams start to wear very quickly

do not buy for a serious everyday work boot, my own and a coworker who purchased these boots both had terrible experiences with the leather seams just falling apart after only a month or two

Had to return these boots due to the fact they were much larger than what I expected. I normally wear a 10.5D, but these felt more like 11 or 12.
