Timberland White Ledge Waterproof Mid Reviews:

Very nice boots. I bought these for my teenage son before a camping trip where rain was expected. Wanted to make sure his feet stayed dry this time. This is not his style of footwear for school or social events and initially he resisted wearing them because he is more comfortable in Chuck Taylors, but when it got cold and wet during the camping trip, he was glad to have these boots. He said they kept his feet warm and dry, and even on a day hike of several miles he said they felt comfortable with a pair of medium weight wool hiking socks. He's also put them on to do work in the garage, like sanding cabinets and other work activities. They might not be appropriate for something that requires steel cap/toe but for general work they fit the bill nicely. Additionally, they look very nice with jeans or shorts. We are very happy with these boots.

Great Boot For My Feet

I really liked these boots because they conform to my irregular feet (both feet had surgeries) and didn't need break-in. Maybe because they are not a rigid and firm boot which I can't wear. Wearing them is a comfortable experience for me. Never had blisters wearing them and have put hundreds of miles on this model boot with my 210 lbs. frame hiking in the desert and forests. Great deal for the price and have done various length hikes with no problems. I have worn this model for at least 5 years. They seem to run a little wider since I bought 11 1/2" MED and usually need 11 or 11 1/2" WIDE since my surgeries.

Great boot

I purchased these as a gift for my son since I am on my second pair of these boots and absolutely love them. They are comfortable right out of the box, even more so than tennis shoes. They are my everyday shoe throughout the year, being not too hot in the summer, and plenty warm in the winter. They just feel good and are great for everyday use. I tend to be on my feet a lot with my video production business, and these are great on the set giving be comfort as well as good support. Highly recommend.

Nice boot!

I wear these boots to work, around the house, on walks. The ankle pads were stiff, caused pain at first in my right ankle, but eventually broke in and are great now. I think this is due to an anatomically odd right ankle. No issues with the left ankle and this has happened with other boots I have so I really can't blame it on Timberland. I think my ankle is breaking in as much as the boot. Timberland shoes and boots are the only brand I buy for dress, work, casual wear.

Good hiking boot for the price

I wear a light Smart Wool hiking sock and for the most part this boot was comfortable right out of the box and will require minimal breakin. The only pressure point I feel is from the upper part of the tongue gusset which is necessary to help waterproof the boot. I've SnowSealed the gussets and they should soften up with longer wear/breakin. I've had good experience with Timberland boots in the past and find them to be one of the best values out there.

Timberland White Ledge

I have bought three pairs so far and they are very comfortable. I wear them at work because I spend allot of time on my feet on cement floors and they also offer support for my ankles.

I love these boots so much that I wear them all the time. The only thing I do not like is that Timberland Brand replacement laces seem impossible to buy and other brand replacement laces do not look good in the boots.
Wally at SunnySports on 09/09/2012

Great value

I've owned 4 or more pairs of these boots, and I wear them all the time. The laces break before the boots wear out every time. If I could find the same type of replacement laces I would own each pair longer. When this pair wears out (laces break) I will buy another pair. I will be in real trouble when this boot style is discontinued--I may buy several more pairs just to keep on hand.

Surprising

These boots are a lot lighter in weight than they appear to be. They are warm but can be used in summer if you don't let the small stuff bug you too much.

A vibram sole would add some durability but the rubber sole is good for traction.

The fit is good as advertised and a short break in period should make them quite comfortable for ankle height boots.

This is the second pair of exact boot. When the original ones were showing wear, I was panicking as wanting to find another of the same! You know how everything bought yesterday has a newer improved version and the original no longer exists? WELL, this brand & style still exists!!! I was a very happy guy! Doesn't get any better!! Highly recommend!!

A good value

The is a good boot for the money. They are light, well constructed and so far they are waterproof. When they get wet they have an irritating little squeak inside the sole which is occurring in another pair owned by my friend as well. But, it's a small thing - overall this is a fine boot.

Buy a half size larger

I am still slowly breaking them in. The toe box is small and it is cramped when wearing heavy socks. I can wear lighter socks after breakin, I hope. Right now the bend along the top of the boot, just below the laces, cuts into my toes. I am hoping that after some breakin, this will soften up. The footbed is very comfortable and the boot are well made and feel secure.
