Best shoe I've ever owned

Bought my current pair almost 2yrs ago in December 2010. Will finally have to buy myself a new pair as they ripped from everyday use for work and play. These boots are very comfortable which is hard to find for me the way my feet are. They've been waterproof in upto 12+ inches of snow and upto the tongue in water. I even dropped a hammer on the toe one time and didn't feel a thing. Only real complaint I have is sometimes you have to spray quite a bit fabric freshener in them to unstink them after a long hike in hot weather.

Awesome Boots...love'em

By the time I put the boots on and laced them and stood up, they were broken in! Totally surprised the fit and comfort for the bargain price, this won't be my last pair. I compete in AKC Hunt Test with 2 Labs so I spend lot's of time in open fields and around water and after spending 6-7 hours wearing these boots, my feet are in great shape.

Great pair of Boots.

I bought the Boots for a planned vacation in the Black Hills and Bad Lands of South Dakota. They were worn to Mt. Rushmore, on a tour of Jewel Cave with 723 steps up and down and over a mile and a half in damp conditions, and around the base of Devils Tower on a side trip to Wyoming. No discomfort, slipping, or problems.

BUY THEM!!

I love these boots and just ordered my 2nd pair, 1st lasted 3 years. Im in the US Army and believe me when I say I know boots. Ive had multiple ankle surgeries after a broken ankle and these boots give me all the protection and support I need. I recommend these to anyone but especially anyone with foot and ankle problems

Doing very well for me

Great boots. I have two pairs. First pair still in full service but starting to show age but I do wear em pretty hard and I'm no light weight. Obviously, bought 2nd pair out of satisfaction. Though spec says not insulated, I find them quite good even when pretty cold. I wear em year around for hunting, fishing and every day.

Great Light Duty Backpacking Boot

Bought these for a last minute backpacking trip to replace a pair of 9 year old Merrell boots that finally died on me. Backpacking trip was combination of flat terrain with tough day hiking up steep, old railroad grades. Included some hiking thru bog muck and boots kept my feet dry. Comfortable right out of the box and sturdy. Definitely recommend!

Nice boot

I wear these boots everyday for work. I have had them for almost a year. After 2 or 3 months they started to tear where the sole met the boot. This allowed water to get into the boot. Other than that they are a very good boot for the price.

Great boots!

My husband loves these boots. They fit perfectly, with no break-in needed. Perfect for snow or rainy weather. Would definitely order them again, but from reviews I've read, that won't be necessary for a long time!

High Quality Boot All The Way!

Absolutely worth buying. My first pair is over 10 years old and the only thing worn is the sole!
I think I'll buy another pair next year for casual dress.

Negative Reviews:

Needs better waterproofing

I bought these boots late April. It is now December and they have begun to leak water. I've done plenty of walking in them as wearing them on a day to day basis but nothing abusive. I tend to wear trail runners for that. The boot itself is nice and comfy and gives great support but the part where the sole that wraps over the side of the leather have separated and I assume that is where the water is coming from. I am more than happy with how they have treated my feet but the waterproofing issue is a real pain.

You get what you pay for

I had higher hopes for these boots. They're OK for a light day hike, walking the dog or roaming around a wet yard. But, having owned hiking boots (and utilizing them) that cost over $300, these boots are not even comparable. I cheaped out, but ended up with a decent pair of "throw-aways" and wont be heartbroken when these hit the trash can this fall. If you're an avid hiker, or just getting into the sport, GET BETTER BOOTS! It's worth every cent.

caveat emptor

I wore these for some very short walks about 5 times building up for longer walks. Top inside lace hook fell out an is gone. This had 2 rivets and just pulled out. Imported, not USA product. Not a premium product. I always thought that Timberland was great brand. Steer clear of this one, life is too short to deal wtih this type of stuff.

Not for backpacking

Nice day use boots for the price, dont expect to carry a 40lb pack & have support. Felt kind of "Flat" not much support. Was warm & mostly dry
Wore them hiking in the snow for two days.

Neutral Reviews:

Good Shoe for the Price.

Nice lightweight boot and comfy out of the box. Very comfy on the hiking trails no matter how rugged.
Cannot find wider sizes or 1/2 sizes. Biggest con is the right toe rubber separated on first day of use but didn't seem to effect shoe performance or waterproofness so I didn't return them. After about 9 months left toe separated too. Just makes the shoes look kind of shabby. Other than that shoe wears very well.
