| I wanted a Mary Poppins bag, one that would fit EVERYTHING and the kitchen sink in it, but not be enormous. Im still undecided on this bag, and I bought it in October. I wanted a laptop bag I could carry on my bike that would keep my water bottle, sunglasses, keys, wallet, and cellphone accessible
and not look silly by dwarfing my 411" frame... and I needed room for a binder or two, my lunch, and maybe a change of clothes/shoes. AND it needed to look good professionally or casually. I love that my big Nalgene fits in the side pocket, and my sunglass case fits in the other side pocket. And I love that my 13" Macbook is very well protected in the separate compartment, but the little organizer pouch, while understandably sewn into the top for accessibility, tends to block access for whatever is in the bottom of the bag. And if youre like me and the main contents of the bag *do* get removed daily, but the accessories (pens and what not) dont, well, it creates a nuisance. The accessories pouch is on the inside of the bag, so the cell phone/tickets/pens/wallet/keys or whatever you stuff in it is not easily accessible. The bag holds almost enough (laptop, accessories, and small items, ONE binder and book), but it gets plenty heavy, so a bigger one carrying more probably isnt the answer. Its VERY comfortable on the bike, wearing the strap across the body. The bag does look huge on me, and its impossible to carry as a shoulder bag (it just slides right off my shoulder). I kind of think that nature just screwed me on that one. Overall a good bag. The color scheme is great. |

Just what I was looking for... I am an attorney in the military, and was looking for a bag that would be professional enough to use for work, and yet versatile enough to use for the gym and other ventures. This bag fit the bill. It is fairly large inside, as I have used it for notebooks, a manual or two, a pair of shoes, a shirt and some other goodies. The expandable strap and buckle make it so you can cram a lot more in there than you would initially think possible. The extra pocket on the outside is well organized. Shoulder strap is comfortable, as is the handle. Overall, a great bag.

Bigger than you think - I'm a college instructor and soon to be student again here in the Fall between teaching and working on my thesis, I can carry my computer and all my research. At first you wonder if you can fit enough in there but believe it or not, a computer 2-3 text books, folders and notebooks work just fine. Really love it and how compact it is. My roommate has the XL messenger and I couldn't handle how it was twice the size of my body, this is perfect if you don't want to feel like the bag is swallowing you.

I really love this Laptop Case. As another person reported it's great for air travel. When you walk down the aisle your bag doesn't hit the other passengers. I was looking for a bag that would not be so heavy and had a business look. I chose the black so it would have a more professional look. While it's not a "flashy bag" it combines function and design. The main reason I bought it was the vertical position. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Zappos is such an amazing company. Thank you

Well organized - Compared to my traditional messenger bag I find this vertical option much easier to manage. I am able to separate papers from my lunch. Everything just seems to stay put better. Way more comfortable, compared to the traditional messenger bag, when loaded down with gear. I am able to carry a text book or two in the zippered "laptop" section, along with papers, and still pack my lunch, thermos, 40 oz. watter bottle, and other items in the main section. Great bag!

Great Laptop Bag! Bought this for a 15.4" Dell and it just fits. Very well made and heavy duty, but without being bulky or heavy. I got it for traveling and it's perfect for my laptop, camera, phone, paperbacks, magazines and a few other items. I don't think it would work for a student that needs to carry textbooks, notebooks, etc. along with their computer. Not large enough. Thick, soft padded strap and padded interior to protect laptop. Lots of cool little compartments. Highly recommended.

This is my first Timbuk2 bag. I wanted something more messenger-ish for my notebook computer, and saw this one. I believe it's not as spacious as the regular messengers, but I still love it. It's attractive, sturdy and comfortable. The shoulder strap hasn't been uncomfortable to me, but most of the time I carry it by the handle. I've had a computer, a 1-inch binder, and small books in here together with pretty much no problem.

Holds plenty; sturdy too - I find this bag to be the most comfortable non-backpack style laptop bag. I just wish that it had a separate opening for the laptop to make it easier to go through airport security. Holds a lot w/o being too bulky. Nice enough to bring to work and not look like a 20-something. (Nothing wrong with looking like a 20-something if you're not 46 like I am!)

With plenty of room for textbooks and my laptop, an external pocket for my water bottle, and a comfortable strap, this is the perfect bag for campus this fall. The workmanship is superb, and I really like the vertical format. For some reason the new version of this bag is bigger, but I think this original version is the perfect size, not too big nor too small.

Great laptop bag! The laptop compartment has enough room to hold my 15 inch Macbook Pro and the internal compartment is extra roomy. As with other Timbuk2 products, the quality and look are great. The only drawback is that there aren't many internal pockets, but there's still plenty of room to hold _lots_ of accessories.
