| Nice "Wrist-Clock" - Understand that this is not a small watch and might look a little funny on a child or small wrist. The three main gadgets all work pretty well. The compass even allows the angle of declination to be set, and works well. The thermometer seems very accurate. I honestly have not monitored the performance of the tides function much yet, but it is certainly accurate enough throughout a trip, if set at the beginning of the trip. It is likely that the band will not last too long, and so you may want to order a couple of extras from Timex (total cost is $18.60 for 2 extra bands). The colors of the face and hands work very well outdoors, but are (expectedly) non optimal for night time use. The Indiglo feature allows you to (barely) see the time at night. Whoops! I almost forgot to say that it really keeps accurate time. I have also banged it quite hard a couple of times and everything works. I would recommend that you consider extending the warranty with Timex. It comes with a 1 year warranty, but for only 5 bucks, you can extend it to a 5 year warranty. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. And Zappos.com is always a good place to purchase from. | |

| When all is said and done, this is a great watch. The functions on the watch (temp, tide, compass) do very well and I look forward to using the tide function this coming summer when I kayak. Because the construction is Stainless steel, it was a little heavier than I am used to. My previous watch was a 90's Timex Iorn Man made out of plastic...however it only took me a day or so to get used to this change. If your willing to spend more money (like double!) the Suunto watches are much lighter (resin constructed) and have similar functions. Timex did a fabulous job making it user friendly. It really is a breeze setting everything. Just a heads up...as with any wrist watch, to get an accurate temperature it will need to be separated from your body for 15 minutes to equilibrate to the environments temperature. Like I said earlier, this is a great watch...and much more attractive than the posted photo. | |

Knobs are too bulky | |

| I was wearing it when taking off a backpack and the shoulder strap on the back pack, snagged on the watch and ended up pulling off the main time-set knob! Never found the piece it pulled off. But for a watch that is supposed to be 100 meter water resistant I don't think that is supposed to happen. Also, as a result, the watch has stopped and is waiting for me to push the knob back in ;-). Anyway, the features are great otherwise... loved the compass. I'm sending it in for an exchange... | |

Keeps time well, but otherwise it's junk | |

| I have gone through two of these and both have had problems. My first one the backlight didn't work so I took to a jeweler to have the battery replaced. When I got it back the backlight still didn't work and the compass stopped working. My second one was great for the first week, and then the compass stopped work. Now it only points to the 6 o'clock position no matter how I rotate it. | |

Nice watch | |

| I do a lot of kayaking and having the high/low tide is a great advantage. I don't have to go looking for a tide chart anymore. The compass is also very nice and setting the declination was very easy. Setting the tide was also very easy. The watch also looks great and is easy to read - in daylight. The biggest downside on the watch is that the indiglo is not good at all. It is actually easier to see the watch without the indiglo on. No way to really see the compass in the dark or see the temp unless you look really, really hard. The indiglo just lights up a small circle, not the entire face as I expected. Maybe the one with the white face does... | |
