Awesome Clubs

First off, I have only been playing golf for a week and a half. I played a Par 3 on a Monday using a friend's old set of clubs and was immediately hooked. The following Sunday I purchased my own set and played a 9 hole executive course. I played the next day as well and it's remarkable how much my game has improved. I shot a 59 on the Par 3, and a 58 and 51 on the par 31 executive with no training or experience whatsoever. After only 2 rounds with this set I am improving greatly and I even challenged my friend who has been playing for 5 years. The first club I swung was the 3 hybrid while I was in the store and my first shot went 167 yds according to the simulator. Keep in mind I had absolutely no experience playing golf aside from playing one Par 3. I highly recommend these clubs for the beginner golfer. Every club has a natural feel, not to mention that they are pretty cool looking with the color combination. The bag is awesome as well as it has plenty of pockets and great features like the insulated cooler pocket for drinks. I shopped all day when I was looking for my clubs and this is the only set I felt naturally comfortable with. I would recommend this set to anyone.

Great quality. Game improvement.

I got back into golf after an eleven year layoff. My golfing buddies suggested that I get more up to date equipment to help improve my severely struggling game. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on gear just yet. I wanted to make sure I was going to enjoy getting back into the game. I researched many starter sets at various price points. No names versus well known. To be completely honest, there was no comparison in quality when comparing the Tommy Armour Royal Scot set to other complete sets. Great looking, great quality, easy to hit clubs for just about anyone's game level.

The completeness of the set with the very low associated price is just amazing. Crack open the box and go play 18 holes with no fuss. I did replace the included putter with my old trusty Odyssey Rossie. The included putter does leave something to be desired. For a beginner however, I'm sure it will be quite fine.

The guys I play golf with, all have bigger name clubs in their bags. Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland, Cobra, etc. The proof is at the end of a round of eighteen holes. In this respect, the Tommy Armour Royal Scots have served me quite well. Just ask my whining, crying, spoiled golf buddies. :)

Great Value

I started playing golf after a 16 year layoff, and have been playing 36 holes a weekend since 6 March 2010. They are very well built, and mid end. Next step up is Taylor Made, Callaway etc. They are good looking and come with everything you need. I would tell you all you need to add a Gap/aproach wedge, Other than that it has everything you need. The bag it comes with is very good and as good as most bags if not better the bag alone is worth about $150.00. It is a set designed for mid handicapper but if you are a re-begginer like me you will grow into them. I play with a golf pro and playes that hit 72 to 81 on a par 72 and they have tried them and like them. Great buy don't miss out [$] is a GREAT Price. BUY THEM

Decent set for the money

I did a lot of research before buying this. i am 21 years old and play 2 times a month at several courses and i thought this was an OK set to begin with. i bought it and immediately replaced the driver with a taylormade. also, the putter is horrible. the irons are nice that will last for a while, and so is the hybrid and fairway wood. the bag is very cheap material with bad zippers and poor design. overall its a OK set for someone to begin playing regularly and define his game. i suggest once your handicap is lower then 10 and play regularly to definitely upgrade to some name brands like taylormade or callaway. yes they will be expensive but they will last a long time and improve you game.

Would buy this product again and again!!

I just recently got this set for Christmas, and man what a difference. I was trying to save money to buy a Callaway or Taylor set. But this set for now and for a while will do. Has everything you need to hit a course. The big driver does just as good as a SQ Nike driver. I know this b/c my brother has the SQ and I've hit with it and my new 10 degree driver. My drive out the tee box is atleast 250+ everytime. Not a bad set of clubs for the money. Glad my wife got them for me!!! Only down fall would be if your not used to hitting with a not so stiff shaft you will have some problems.

Just Great

I pick this up as my first official set and it's just great. Comes with every club I could possibly need and they all hit great. This is the first time I have ever hit a hybrid club also, and that went very, very well. It is so intuitive, you can crush them on your first swing. The bag is also very well made with all the bells and whistles (drink pocket, valuables pocket, etc). Plus it is a very attractive looking set. In my opinion, easily the best golf value on all of or anywhere else right now, and believe me, I looked around.

Great set of clubs for the price

I purchased this set of clubs to upgrade over my original set which was a beginner for me and about 5 years old. I had heard a lot of great things about the Tommy Armour brand, and, after looking at several dozen sets of clubs, saw great reviews on this product and decided to go for it. I've had the clubs 2 weeks now, have played 2 rounds and hit the range once. I'm impressed with the clubs, and feel they will benefit my game. I'd recommend these clubs to any intermediate or recreational golfer.

Good next step..

I've only been playing about 18 months. Since I've purchase this set, my score has gone down approx 10 strokes.

It's a good upgrade from a low cost set of beginner's clubs. The driver is easy to hit and the irons are accurate. The putter also has good feel.

All the clubs give good feedback when you hit 'em right and when you hit 'em wrong.

Overall they are a good upgrade. I feel I got my good value with this set. They were on sale for 269.00

A true marvel TA has outdone themselves

Some have said that the putter was poor, i loved it, its sensitive but not to sensitive.... i improved my game by more then 7 strokes and this was my first time useing them since i got them. I am as you know a beginer and for the price this has got to be the best set ever.
