Day hiking has graduated to the next level of comfort and quality with the upgraded Tubbs Wilderness Snowshoes for Women. Now featuring Tubbs' RII Revolution Response system and the all new Cobra/Viper traction system, the Wilderness fuses the biomechanical advantage of the Fit-Step frame with industry leading snowshoe technology. The Wilderness is now fully outfitted for the serious outdoor explorer and the winter fitness fanatic. With a 10% savings in muscular skeletal impact resulting from the Fit-Step frame, you now can hike longer and farther than ever before.

Traverse the trail or make your own in the Tubbs Women's Wilderness Series Snowshoe, which features Tubbs' easy-entry binding system and stainless steel crampons. The 180 Binding is a cinch to get into, so you can begin your adventure faster, and it holds your foot securely without creating pressure points, so you can hike longer in complete comfort. Compact crampon teeth under the ball of your feet grab snow and ice, while heel crampons help you maintain traction when you descend or traverse sloped terrain. The Wilderness' 6000-series aluminum frame swings separately from your boot and binding with every step, so you don't carry along heavy snow, and the abrasion-resistant ArcTec Plus decking stays tough and flexible down to an inhospitable -40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Awesome snowshoe. | |

These snowshoes are bada$$. I love them. I have beat them to hell and they still work -- I climb up rock faces, I've taken them through 3-4 feet of snow, through drifts, up and down ravines, and after two years of weekly snowshoe excursions the only small problem is that one of the buckle mechanisms is missing a piece of plastic; I always expect them to break, but they are perfect; I wear goretex running shoes and YakTrax underneath them; there is still plenty of room. They're comfortable and will take a lot of crap.

A Great Snowshoe | |

So easy to put on and take off. Quieter on packed and icy surfaces than the molded plastic shoes. A great purchase.

binding help | |

I tripped the quick release twice and took a tumble both times. A branch hit the release and my foot came out of the binding and down I went in to 2 feet of snow. I tape the release now. Otherwise a good shoe but need to change binding style.

Not as good as I expected

| The binding is a quick release and can release when a branch or you overstep on the release. This could cause a bad fall. I know. I would chose another pair with a safer binding | |
