Great helmet, extremely easy to adjust and comfortable | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Supersonic RS and GT are the same helmets except the color schemes. I have a Supersonic GT in matte black. Pros – easy adjustment, great fit, comfortable, big vents, look, light Cons – bulky (Supersonic RS/GT is bigger than most of the helmets. It’s bigger than Uvex Magnum and Sport Boss. However it’s still light. My 58-63 cm helmet weighs around 296 g. Supersonic GT helmet is very easy to adjust and gives me a perfect fit. I have been using Bell Image Pro for years and constantly struggling with getting a good fit and can never get it right. With Supersonic GT, the adjustment is done instantly. Very comfortable with huge vents. The helmet is well designed and manufactured. It’s hard to believe I can find cycling helmets made in Germany instead of China these days. The finish on Supersonic GT is great. The micro shell even covers the bottom of the helmet. Very clean. Initially I was a bit disappointed when comparing to Uvex Magnum which the shell is one piece (but not covering the bottom) and Supersonic GT or RS’s shell is 2 pieces. However Magnum and even Sport Boss do not have micro shell covering the whole bottom. This is not important but a nice touch. The bottom line for a helmet is good fit, comfortable to wear and keeping you protected. Uvex helmets are great in terms of ease of adjustment, fit and comfortable. I have no doubt about keeping me protected when needed. One thing about the Uvex red LED light. The LED light are well designed and very bright – small and light weight. The clip system is very well thought. However because the location where the red LED light can clip on (the top and back of the helmet, White LED light should be OK.) I don’t think the red LED light will be very visible. Instead I put Cateye Magnet switch LED light on the back of my helmet and it works great. (see attached photo) Overall I am really impressed and pleased with Uvex Supersonic helmets. I wish I could get more flashy colors since I use it for road biking too. With the price I paid ($40 including shipping) I don’t have the choice of colors. | |

GREAT Helmet! | |

| The only helmet I've ever seen with hegith adjustments, allowing it to not impinge on my skull during the ride. I'll also take the dial adjustment on the headband over pushing & pulling any day. And the extra back-of-head coverage, bug guard, rear light, etc. are also nice touches. Nice, Job, Uvex! PvH | |

Better than a Giro | |

| Best helmet that I've owned. I had an expensive Giro helmet before and it broke after a light fall. This one is more rugged. It fits nicely too! | |
