Evo
The Chukka Low is rider designed and approved. The Vans Chukka Low Shoes are a clean, iconic Van's style that looks good with everything from jeans to shorts and can tackle any situation with some serious style.

Backcountry.com
The Vans skate team pooled all of their creativity to collectively design the Men's Chukka Low Skate Shoe. That's why it's such a simple design. The less-is-more concept applied to these classic kicks means long-lasting quality due to lack of excessive frills and unnecessary extras. A waffle sole improves board feel and adds cushioning to your landings and long skate sessions, while their light weight makes you feel like you're skating barefoot (which we don't recommend).

KonaSports.com
The Chukka Low Shoe was thoroughly tested by the team riders at Vans for a perfect blend of quality and time-tested materials that can tolerate a variety of riding styles. Using the Authentic and original Chukka as inspiration, this active sneaker has been performance upgraded with the features of the Syndicate, transforming workhorse into a modern favorite.

Vans Chukka Low Reviews:

Reviews:

I'm a long time Vans fan. I wore them back in the 80's after Fast Times came out, and have had many pairs since. The Chukka Lows are cool addition to the Vans line. I had Chukka Boots back in 1990, and was glad to see the style come back, so when the lows came out too, I jumped at the chance try them out. The shoes are comfortable, and feel like a modern skate shoe without looking so clunky, like DC's of DS's do. It's nicely padded around the angle, but not overly so. The tongue is also padded, but not too much. My only complaint is that the tongue could be a little longer, it barely reaches the top lace. If you like fat skate shoe tongues, these aren't it. Still a good shoe, mine have held up well, I will probably get another pair when they are done. Where van's exceeds is in simple style. Almost every major shoe brand copies Vans' styles, but they don't come close.

The design of the sole makes it great for board feel, so it's great for skating ledges, flatground, and more technical tricks, but it's not very cushioned around the heel, don't jump down Andrew Reynolds style drops or you'll be hobbling for days. The thin tread also contributes to a short shoe life, but the price is low enough that it's not too big of a deal. The leather on the front toe of the shoe is fairly sturdy however, so you're not going to be sporting your toe outside of the shoe. The higher laces are a great design to help prevent lace damage. Also the cushioning around the ankle is great for people who have grandpa joints. All that mixed with the classic style make for a great shoe.

You can't go wrong with these shoes. Great feel, great fit, and they just look sick. True to size as I have 13's and they fit great. Kind of thin on the top part of the toe, but that is the only thing that I can complain about. Had the same pair for about 2 years now and the bottom sole is holding up great still and all the seams are staying together still. I haven't skated in these much, not a fan of the way they feel on my board, so this adds the how long they have lasted.

I love the chukka. After on and off skating for over 10 years, this is my favorite shoe all time. I've had at least 6-7 pairs of them. The grip / feel is unmatchable imo. The side panels will rip early (the canvas part), but there is a more durable material behind it, so they'll keep skating great for a while afterward. I usually burn through the soles before I completely tear through anywhere else. Size wise, I wear 9.5 in all vans vulks, including these

Ok the sides are canvas.. but the toe section is suede and thats close enough for me. (I bought the blue ones)
Shoes are comfortable. Haven't worn them while skating but they are nice everyday shoes to wear around.
Being semi-canvas shoes they run a tad bit larger than normal but there is some cushioning/insulation and they can be tightened up pretty snug.
Overall a good shoe and worth the money especially if you get them on sale.

I have been wearing Vans since I was seven years old. I am a 38 year old man now and have to say these modules are super comfortable and just as functional as ever. The leather tongue adds a nice touch and the laces are a perfect length. Not too long. Tie these kicks to your liking and then slip them on time and time again without having to re-tie.

Amazingly stylish and even more comfortable. Wear to the beach then out on a date later that night. Super versatile. Only reason its 4 *s is bc they wear out after a while. Wore mine at least 5 days a week for a year and they have been retired due to the sides ripping out and holes in the heels. Nevertheless, amazing shoe. Great buy.

Picked these up quite a while ago and they're still comfortable as ever. Left shoe came a little warped from shipping but after a few days of use they fit just fine. Pretty legit for skating but the sole (with most vans) will ware out pretty quickly on the long board.

Bradley Austin at Backcountry.com on 04/08/2012

I purchased these shoes 7 months ago and have worn them everywhere. Not much support for the arches if you plan on running in them, but that's not what they are meant for. All in all I have loved these shoes and am about to order myself a second pair.

I've never owned a pair of Vans and always wanted this style. Bought the Grey on Grey ones and could not be happier with my decision. So stylish, so comfortable and quality is top notch. Definitely getting another pair in different colors someday soon.
