Vibram Fivefingers Flow

Men's Footwear > Water ShoesRated: ***** by 5 reviews.

Rock/Creek Outfitters

The Fivefinger Flow by Vibram is a new barefooting "shoe" that provides protection from cold temperatures and water.  Made with a 1.2mm Neoprene lining and a 2mm EVA footbed you get total thermal insulation and protection when crossing streams, running in the winter or boating on cold waters.  The Vibram TC-1 performance rubber is razor siped to give you that upper hand on slippery rocks, boat decks or really almost any surface you encounter.
The Vibram FiveFingers Flow Barefoot Shoe is one of the most innovative products to come out in a couple years. The Barefoot shoe is based on the age old concept that being barefoot helps your balance, your connection with the earth and energy, and gives you the ability to move in a more natural, healthy way. By walking in a protective sleeve over your feet, encased in sticky, protective Vibram rubber, the FiveFingers Flow stimulates the muscles in your feet and lower legs to build strength and improve range of motion. Many people who use these shoes have said they had a better sense of balance, greater agility, and visibly improved posture.

STAR WARS speeder bike scene

Rating:*****
Got these shoes a few weeks ago and i'm in love.

Putting these on for the first time and just running down a trail in the woods next to the Connecticut River felt INSANELY fun. It felt a videogame, or like the speeder bike scene out of STAR WARS. You're running on these rocks and sticks and you're not really sure of your footing yet and you think your about to fall down or hurt your feet at any moment, BUT YOU DONT. SO FUN.

I love these shoes. I feel way more connected to the ground. i love walking on grassy parts next to the sidewalk. toes feel fun and free. jokes/curiosity with friends.

...when i first put them on the big toes felt really tight and i wondered whetehr i should send them back and get a size up but i stuck to it and they broke in quickly. I wear these out in the woods, and when i just go out about my business around town most of the time.

It's summer right now but i got the Flows because soon enough the weather will be getting colder, so i figured i'd be better off with Flows than the KSOs. Around next spring though, i plan on getting a pair of KSOs too, but right now even in the summer weather the Flows really aren't too too bad heat wise. (i'm a real skinny dude though)

..

I'm just an odd sort of dude who has always hated shoes in general. So when i saw a picture of a pair of Vibram FiveFingers they tickled my Futurist/Minimalist philosophies on life and i decided they were the shoes for me. AND I WAS RIGHT.

Thank you, whoever invented these things!

EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A PAIR OF THESE TO RUN AROUND IN THE WOODS WITH!

Walking barefoot never felt so awesome!

Rating:*****
I had been flirting with this bootie since originally seeing the Vibram Surge while researching footwear for coldwater surfing.

I thought it looked cool but was mildly skeptical until reading a report on African Hunters who, instead of using weapons, would out run their prey to death. Wow, what a weird connection right?

Well, a famous podiatrist and barefoot runner had made the connection between natural foot structure and mentioned the Vibram Fivefingers as the best overall shoe on the market.

I was sold. Science equals truth? I had to check them out.

I have been running, jumping, swimming, surfing, kicking, stretching and, GASP, even walking in these shoes and they are SOOOOOO comfortable.

There is a breaking in period I would caution to be thoughtful about and getting the knack of just fitting them on takes a couple days.

After a week or so the rubber and neoprene conforms and snugs very nice on the foot.

They are so easy to wear and clean. Mud, dirt, grime and gravel are easy to wash away. I have used my dishwasher and coldwater washing machine just to get the sweat out and have not had any unpleasant odors yet.

Buy them while they are still available. I plan on getting at least another pair of FLOW's and maybe a KSO or two.

Cannot recommend enough!!!

Love the idea, styling and quality

I love these shoes so much, I bought 3 pairs. 2 KSO's and 1 Flow. As soon as they come out with additional color schemes, I'll get another pair. I wear them everywhere. The great thing about these shoes is you can wear them in the rain and they dry quickly. Washing them's a breeze and afterwards I throw them on my deck and they're completely dry in minutes. I like the way my toes are more involved with routine tasks. With driving, biking, walking the dog, hiking, martial arts or just taking a relaxing ride on a scooter, the shoes offer an open feeling with the protection of a sole. The question for me wasn't to buy or not to buy, but what colors do I like or should I get one of each:)

Most fun shoes I've ever owned!

Rating:*****
People tend to be more strongly opinionated about these shoes than any I have worn in my life! ...Not really about the performance, but, about the look. If you're like me -- the performance wins and you can't live without the shoes, everyone else can go jump in a lake! ...And I will too but I'll keep my shoes on!

I've used my fivefingers for solo canoe treks, I've hiked a mountain in them, I've used them sailing, and I've used them for wet wading while fly fishing. Last but not least I stepped on a nail at a beach bonfire and it didn't pierce them. I love these shoes and recommend them to any outdoor enthusiast -- you will love them too!

Great Shoe!

Rating:*****
This is a great water shoe! I was a little skeptical when I bought them, but got rave reviews from friends and strangers alike. They're not only "stylish" but very functional! I've used these for just about everything. My feet are pretty sensitive, but I've found them to be very "feely" without hurting my feet. I've even worn them hiking, and around the city of Flag. Great shoe! You can bet when they wear out I'll by another pair!
