Vibram Fivefingers TrekSport Black Reviews:

Reviews:

Never felt this way about a shoe before.

I was excited when i purchased the shoe, then the day before I kinda felt like i spent too much money on some shoes that I would want anymore. When I got them, which was today, I got excited again and was like i think they are going to be small but then i put them on and had to kind of wiggle my toes to get them in the individual toe gloves, lol, but once they i got both shoes on they felt so good. I wanted to wear them today outside but i didnt want to mess them up in the snow, ice, and puddles of water. I wear an 8 and 8.5 at rare times and i got a size 40, fits perfectly and they are pretty stylish to me even though im a nike and jordan sneaker wearer. I just had to leave my review for these "bare feet shoes" because i love them that much. I havent had them for long but i think it was worth the money, im not even mad i paid as much as i paid for them. Highly recommended to anyone, even if your second toe is longer than your big toe, but not too long. ;)

Barely there

Wore these shoes for the first time for a 10mi trailwalk (some backcountry trails with sticks, stones, boulders, as well as gravel and sand road). They felt really comfortable from the moment I put them on and did not take any getting used to. I really enjoyed how light they felt on my feet, and felt I had more traction on rocks and inclines than in regular hiking boots. One big downside was that they are not at all water resistant. If the ground is even a little wet, the moisture gets absorbed by the shoe, which feels unpleasant. I don't mean stepping into puddles, but just walking on wet surfaces will get your feet wet. For this reason I would not recommend wearing socks with these, they might not dry as quickly and would leave you with wet feet. I would also recommend following the guidelines for slowly phasing these in - after wearing the shoes all day (10 miles/8hrs), my feet felt sore and I could only wear flip flops the next day - regular shoes and the vibrams were both painful. 5-6miles / 3-4hrs would seem reasonable for wearing them for the first time.

Love these shoes

These shoes require a little patience, as it takes a few times to get used to putting them on, but they are the best hiking shoes I've ever owned. After only two weeks, they've almost completely undone the damage done by Sketcher's Shape-ups (which are disasters!).

I got a huge blister just above my arch the first time I wore them due to the rubbing at the seam, but that part of the shoe loosened/softened up and I haven't had a problem since.

Highly recomended

First of all I am a male and was able to fit in a women's size and I would just like to add that the only major difference between the men's and women's version is the width. Great product good for use anywhere. Not good for cold weather. Excellent for water and mud as well as hiking and or running. I recommend this to anyone who wants minimalist shoes or already has a pair.

what an awesome expierence

I absolutely love my vibrams 5 finger toe shoes. I wear them for everyday wear, playing with the kids, and running. I also plan on hiking in them. What I really enjoy most is, after a day of walking, running, or playing in these shoes, my feet do not ache when I take my shoes off!! The best feeling in the wor
ld. I love them!

Love them, they are very comfortable!!

I work as a waitress on my feet sometimes 12 hours a day and these Vibrams are perfect for my feet. Since I am flat footed I use an additional arch support. They fit right in with no problem but will take up some room effecting the fit so getting a size larger may be best in the same circumstances.

they stretch a bit!!

The fit was initially tight on one toe, but it has loosened a bit after only a few wearings, much to my elation. So far, great--I'm still walking and working my way up to running with them. Great with the five finger socks!! The socks add considerable warmth. Also, great for rougher terrain--I don't get hurt on pointy rocks.

Now I can run bare-foot again!!!

I happened to be made for these shoes. I used to run barefooted, I stopped for various reasons, however, Vibrams's have helped me run on the sand with a barefooted feeling without being barefoot and exposed to shells, glass or whatever. Thanks for the refreshed memory of the freedom of a barefoot run without the fears. Thanks...Karen

My new favorite shoes

Took these on a vacation to the Virgin Islands that was filled with hiking and swimming. They outperformed my expectations on the trails (great grip and not too painful on my soles when walking over pointy rocks). They also were easy to wear while swimming and wading.

Good trail runners

These five fingers were used after a short breaking-in time for trail hiking in Kaua'i, Hawaii; they did very well on every surface except clay, washing beach sand out was easy. They also have better ankle support than my previous five finger Sprints.
