Volkl Mantra Ski - Men's: The Mantra features a 132-98-118mm shape and tip rocker. The new slightly wider profile floats more in the soft snow, and the added smoothness that the tip rocker delivers takes one of the silkiest freeskiing skis ever and makes more so.

PeterGlenn

The Volkl Mantra is a very aggressive powder ski. It's rockered in the tip and it has a wide waist width to give you good float and maneuverability. With two layers of titanium, this ski is very torsionally stiff. That means you can take it up to speed and get loads of stability and response. Vertical sidewalls give you solid edge hold on hardpack. You can take the Mantra off into the powder or straight down the front side with equal success.

Versatile enough to be your every day ski, the Volkl Mantra ski also stomps the deep powder and plows over crusty conditions. The Power Construction design uses vertical sidewalls and a torsion box lay up to provide excellent edge-to-edge control and superior durability. With 98mm underfoot, you're able to float through the pow but still have plenty of power and smoothness of a tip-rockered freeskier's dream.

REI (2013)

Equally adept at floating high in powder and carving trenches in corduroy, the Völkl Mantras might be the only skis you'll need.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Hey I'm Brad. I just got off the Volkl Mantras. 4 out of 5 for me. Definitely it's the big brother of the Kendo. Super damp super smooth ride. Held turns you could feel it's stability was off the charts. So if you're a guy that really likes something that's a little bit beefier, likes to go fast. This would give you a real nice damp ride. It's just an absolute SUV. Through all of the softer stuff it definitely floats well, carves well. Not the snappiest or the poppiest ski i've skied all day. So if you like a ski that definitely tends to get up on edge really quick and sends you sailing into the next turn I might look else where but if you're a guy that just likes a nice smooth Cadalac type ride. This would be an awesome ski for you.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

What's going on, Jeff here, Volkl Mantra, 4/5 stars. See a new paint job this year. This metal top laminate ski is a blast to run. You wanna go to the front side, maybe do some nice tree skiing, rip on some nice corduroy for a day. You can go anywhere, do anything you want with this ski. Really fun, the vertical sidewall gives it tons of stability, and torsional control. Anywhere from your moderate tree tight turns, to just letting it rip wide-open in a back bowl, or down the frontside of a real nice steep hill. This is gonna be a great ski for you, very confident, and inspiring.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Trey here with Volkl's Mantra i'm going to give this ski 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. I've always liked this ski, they made it better this year with a little bit of early rise in it. It really transitions between the turns effortlessly. It's for an advanced immediate to the casual expert skier. It's really flat in the tail so you can load a ton of energy in it, and just sit down on it an rip really powerful turns on the groomers, or even in crud like we have out here right now 4 1/2 out of 5.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

I'm Adam, and I was just skiing on the Volkl Mantra, I give this ski 5/5. It's a great do anything, anywhere, anytime ski, 98 underfoot with a little bit of tip rocker. Takes medium to long turns on the hard pack, would be a good soft snow ski to. You could take it anywhere, that 98 underfoot really makes it versatile, so you can do anything with it. Full sidewall, it's got a really nice, damp, powerful feel. If you like that kind of ski, I'd really try out the Mantra, 5/5.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Hi this is Luke just finished skiing the Volkl Mantra. I give this 5/5 stars I really enjoyed skiing this. It's the first time i've been on a Mantra, and found this to be just very smooth ski transitioning from edge to edge. Very quick definitely a fun all mountain ski if you want to get out and rip and get a little speed while you're out their. Definitely for your advanced level skiers check it out great ski Mantra.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Hi, Tom here, with the Volkl Mantra, give this 4/5 stars. Real smooth turner, tons of power, great edge hold. Its a little overly damp, it doesn't have a lot of zip to the finish of the turn. If your looking for something you can stand on, and you know is gonna hold you all the way through the turn. Give you tremendous stability, a lot of versatility with the width to, this is the ski.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Hey, I'm Hans, I just came off the Volkl Mantra. The Mantra's been one of their top skis for many years, I own a pair. The new skis got a little bit of tip rocker, 98 underneath the foot. So it's definitely a ski that is more designed for softer snow out west. Even in the Midwest, or the hard pack conditions, this ski will hold really well, I give this ski a 4/5.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Kyle here with the Volkl Mantra. I really like this ski I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5. I think it handles really well, goes up on edge well, and holds an edge really well. Good for high speeds, and I think it be good for anyone from intermediate to expert skier. Gets you through the crud big and wide enough, but it will handle the groomers really well.

2013 Volkl Mantra Ski Review

Evan here just got off the Volkl Mantra. I give this skis a 4 out of 5. Very predictable for it's width. Holds an edge like a champ has a little bit of tip rocker so it's going to be easier to initiate turn. Still very solid under foot. Going to be good for that all mountain all around skiing.
