OUTSTANDING
I love this paddle. I started out with a heavy, cheap Al paddle. I have had three shoulder surgeries, and after an hour my shoulders would be killing me. The Werner Camano is so lightweight I can paddle with it for five hours no problem. The blade does seem a little delicate, so I wouldn't use it for whacking rocks. The ferrule fits very tightly with no wiggle. The release button is even with the shaft. Lots of adjustment in 15 degree steps. The shaft has a slight texture so it won't slip when wet, but it will irritate your hands without gloves after an hour or two. If I broke it, I would buy another in an instant.

Getchya Some
Just used this paddle for the first time today. It is the first kayak paddle I have ever owned. The REI representative recommended paying less on my kayak and more on a paddle because that's what really matters. I completely agree now. This thing is so light and smooth in the water. The adjustable ferrule is great for feathering, which I'm still getting used to after using rental paddles for a long time. Plus I'm a tall guy (6'6") so the 240 cm is perfect in length and it's finally nice to have a paddle that's long enough for me.
I can't wait to use this thing more. Great that it breaks down too.

You get what you pay for - a lot!
Let me first say that I don't own a phenomenal kayak. In fact, this paddle costs nearly as much as my boat did (and more than my first boat!)
But it is absolutely, 100% worth the money. It weighs almost nothing, I can go around paddling it for hours.
It's also very powerful - the first time I took it out I thought I was pushing off solid ground. I had to check that I wasn't hitting the bottom of the lake! It does actually increase my kayaking speed.
Fantastic paddle, well worth the money.

15 years and counting...
Bought my paddle in the Anchorage REI store 15 years ago. I've used it all over North America on lots of trips. Rolled with it, used it to brace for kayak entry, used it to pole me off shingle beaches, weave through rock gardens, etc. Other than a few small chips off the carbon blade gel coat and some small hairline cracks where the 2 shafts go together this thing is indestructible.
The only con I can think of is that the shafts are occasionally difficult to separate when they get salt incrusted.

Light and Tight
I use this as primary paddle for touring with a sea kayak. It's lightweight construction minimizes fatigue. Even though the blades are not carbon, they are very thin fiberglass and, combined with the carbon shaft, extremely light. I was pleasantly surprised at how stiff the blades are when they are so thin and light. I started to buy the Kalliste (much more expensive all-carbon) but I liked the high visibility red blades of the Camano (and the WAY more reasonable price tag). Great paddle for a recreational touring guy like me.

worth the invsetment
i am more attached to it than my kayak! my boyfriend got this paddle and i got the version with the smaller shaft diameter and we could not be happier with the paddles. we just finished a 6day (92mile) paddling trip and i don't think i would have finished without this paddle. i wore paddling gloves and got NO blisters the entire trip. if you have small hands (women for example), you can find the smaller shaft diameter version, which really helps to reduce hand cramping.

Simply the Best!!
I absolutely love my Werner Camano paddle. It is ultra-lightweight and handles extremely well in the water. I love the fact that you can break it down into two, enabling better storage, with the push of a button and gently pulling to separate both halves of the paddle. It is such a wonderful design and is the top quality you expect from Werner. I highly recommend this paddle for any paddler who is looking for something lightweight, good quality, and reduces fatigue.

Worth the price!
This paddle is awesome! It is so lightweight and easy to use, I can go miles and miles without tiring, and I'm not at all athletic.
If you are taking photos or fishing, you can easily adjust your position in the water with one hand while concentrating on the task at hand.
I initially thought the price was too high, but received this paddle as a gift and now I know that it is definitely worth it!

A must have
What a nice paddle, I have always owned low end kayak paddles. Finally I decided to see what the craze was about. All I can say is wow, I usually take the same route through the marina and I know exactly when my arms and joints will start hurting. With this Paddle, after going twice the distance pain is nowhere in sight.
Very efficient, moves through the water whisper quiet and takes little effort to get you moving.

Solid Performance, Well Worth the Money
I use this paddle 2-3 times a week for long periods of time and have yet to experience any noticeable fatigue. I own several paddles from other brands and this one is by far my favorite. I bought it because it was a perfect balance between weight and price, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, well-performing paddle.
