Winner of the Runner's World Best-in-Test award in 2002, X-Socks designed the Men's Speed One Running Sock for fast sprints or high-energy medium distance runs. Instep, heel, and patented Lambertz-Nichols Achilles protectors all buffer your foot from the impacts generated by powerful running strides. As with all X-Socks, the Speed One features an X-Cross bandage that supports the crucial muscles, tendons, and ligaments around your ankle. AirConditioning Channels, AirFlow ankle pads, and Traverse AirFlow Channels all work in conjunction to keep your feet optimally cooled and bathed in fresh air. Anti-microbial Skin NODOR fibers retard the growth of unwanted bacteria without destroying the desirable natural bacterial environment of healthy skin.

Best Socks

The X-Socks Speed One Running Socs are the best socks I have ever purchased. I came across them when I was in Paris and the airlines lost my luggage and I need replacement socks and shoes. They are extremely comfortable, have built-in ankle support (yes, it's true) and are sewn to have a left and right sock. As soon as I returned to the U.S. I searched for retailers who carry this Italian product and this site was the only one. This sock is worth every penny I paid and I used them on both my short and long marathon training runs. I also purchased their "X-Socks Sky Run Sinofit Soc" which is marketed as their long distance soc but I prefer the The X-Socks Speed One Running Soc.

X-socks speed one awesome for Mountain biking too

The X Scoks speed one is definitely not just a running sock. I use them for Mountain biking and they are the only socks I use that when I wear them my feet don't go numb in my bike shoes. I keep them IN my bike shoes so I always have them- yes they get pretty gnarley so I think I need to buy at least 3 more pair!

Great first run

The sock is exactly the type of sock I like. It fits my foot like a glove and has nice compression support around the arch. It can definitely be classified as a thin sock, but has more then enough cushion for me. The socks come with a 2 year warranty, so I expect to enjoying my 12 to 26 mile runs in these socks for quite a while.

Wet Weather

After eight days on monsoons on the East Coast, I had to get outside running and brave the elements. Most of the run was in a torrential downpour and my shoes were soaked. Despite feeling like a drowning duck, no blisters, even after an hour! My shoes were soaked, but X-Socks kept my feet warm and relatively dry. You have to try them, you will never go back.

Pricey yes. Comfortable, very!

Great support in these socks. They feel much more comfortable than the wool socks that I have been using for running. Those socks resulted in blisters at 15+ miles.
These feel smoother and less likely to rub. I plan to use them during longer distances and marathons.

Wife's Happy Feet

I bought these for my wife; she likes them, but a little pricey for socks - you know, it just feels weird to pay $30 for socks. But, they work for long distance running and my wife digs them.
