| My truck is safe from scratches because I can slide the boats up the rear of the truck. The saddles are far enough back. On my wife's crv the saddles are too far forward and do not protect the car during loading. Very few people are strong enough to load a kayak safely on top of their cars without some help. Since I am afraid of my wife I bought this to assist. She would kill me if I mess her car up like I have done to my truck. I own 1 of these for the drivers side already, but find I like to load 2 boats without anybodies help at times. So I ordered a 2nd. Moose Jaw will give you reward points and free shipping usually. Nobody discounts Yakima gear so this is as good as it gets. | |

| I have a 14 ft kayak that weighs 70lbs. Sure, 70lbs may not be much weight if the weight is compacted, but because it's a kayak, the 70lbs is really cumbersome to balance and move around. With this yakima boatloader, i can easily load my yak on top of my car without a problem. The first few times may take you a while to get use to, but once you get the hang of it, you will love it! | |
