Chain Straps for Bikes

Rating:*****
This product was used to reinforce four bikes onto a bike rack on the back of our van. The straps really provided some additional assurance that the bike was firmly strapped to the bike rack. I usually never help put the bike straps on as my husband was using wire ties but now that we have these straps, I can easily put them on myself. They stretch nicely and are very smooth to put on. They stay put and they are also easy to undo when its time to remove the bikes from the rack. Definitely worth the cost to buy a few extra of these!

Remove when not using...

These work just like they're supposed to...nothing unexpected. However, a few words of caution: Don't leave the bike on the rack for an extended period of time in the sun, I've seen them leave black "o" shaped marks in the paint of a few bikes. Also, when you remove your bike from the rack, take the chain straps off and stow them in the car...people like to take off with 'em.

Can't keep 'em on without them

They may seem awfully simple, but the straps are super flexy for easy hooking, multiple holes to accommodate size differentials and darn strong. Use Yakima products 'cause they're good!

Works w/ Rhode Gear Super Shuttles

Rating:*****

Bought these to replace damaged straps on a Rhode Gear Super Shuttle. Fit is a little tight but gets the job done. Great service from this site.
