"Best buckle protection I have found..."

Rating:****
Well, first of all what can you really say about straps? What do I really have to compare them with? Well let’s see... I suppose the worst kind of straps I have come across are the ones I got whacked in the rear with when I was a kid and I would definitely have to say the best ones are the ones I help my Girlfriend take off. Now that I have something to gauge them by, I guess I can begin. How do these straps measure up? As you know, there are a lot of great straps out there. I use these to carry two fourteen-foot kayaks that weigh fifty-two pounds on top of my car. I would have to say they are well-made and definitely heavy duty enough for what I use them for. The sixtee

these suckers hold my boat on nice and tight. of course they don't suck and i'm the one tightening them, but they stay in place, and my boats been with me on all of my trips. i've not once pulled over to pick up my boat knocking on wood while i'm typing this. if you paddle, you know these are the 6th accessory you MUST take to the river with you, except for those of you with play boats and trucks who throw your boats in the back. i've also recently discovered these hold on other objects just as well as they do kayaks.

"durable, easy to use, rubber cushion support a plus"

Rating:****
I'm a kayak fan so I have a Yakima kayak rack for my car and these straps to hold it down. I just recently bought another pair of these because my old pair started to fray from the wind and my many travels up and down the state of MN. The rubber cushion is a genius add for when I'm flinging the strap to the other side and whacking my car. They're very durable and easy to use!

"A bit pricey, but does the job and will protect the finish on you car or kayak."

Rating:****
The nice thing about these straps is the rubber casing around the clamp/buckle mechanism which protects the finish on your car and your kayak or whever your are strapping down. My only complaint is that it is initially a bit of a pain to feed the tail of the strap through the buckle/clamp because the rubber case kind of gets in the way. Once you figure it out its not too bad though.

"These are the way to go!!!"

Rating:*****
These straps are great! They have a rubber cover over the metal buckle piece so they won't scratch your canoe or if they slip off the canoe while taking it off or putting it on they won't put a scratch on the paint of your vehicle! They are also a little longer than the other straps I have seen.

"They work geat!"

Rating:*****
I bought a pair of Yakima Heavy Duty Straps earlier this year from Moosejaw and they are wonderful. They hold my kakak down with no worries of it falling off my car rack. I just purchased a second one from MooseJaw for my other car. I highly recommend these straps. They work geat!

Second Set of Tie-Down Straps

Rating:*****
Tie-Down straps are easy to use, versatile, and very strong. This purchase was my second set. Would just like a mechanism to store the excess strap length. If not secured, it flaps in the wind when driving. This is the only negative I see.

"Great Straps!"

Rating:*****
Fab straps. Love the additional padding around buckel. I know that my Kayak is protected from road vibrations with this padding. Easy to use ..... Had a "strapping good time" securing my Kayaks to my Uakima rack.

"Good, but not my first choice"

I got these with my canoe brackets and they are pretty good, I haven't had a problem with loosening yet. If I had anything heavier on I would think about ratchet straps.
