We bought these for our canoe and they work to perfection. However I've used them more for other things like lumber, luggage and christmas trees. Cinch them down and they stay snug, essential for strapping stuff down to the roof, especially since I don't own a truck.

There is a lot of thought put in these straps. If you car at all about the paint job on your truck, I would get a set of these. Rubber sleeves keep the metal buckles from wearing holes in bags and hulls as well.

Good But Expensive | |

They are very good quality, super long and have positive locking. The webbing is strong and so far they have not frayed. I'm not sure they are worth the money, but since they have not let me down, maybe cost is moot.

Great straps for use w/ any roof-top rack/materials. Strong, easy to use, quick set-up, and I really like the padded buckles, as it won't scratch your kayak, car, or rack.

These straps are wonderful. They tighten down easily and stay tight; which is what one expects from staps but one does not always get. However, the Yakima straps deliver.
