If you only occasionally need to transport your bikes, perhaps your Rack Envy situation isn’t very serious. But we’ve come up with just the cure for a mild case like yours. Though it has just the bare-bones essentials to transport your bikes, the Yakima LittleJoe still features bomber steel construction at a great price. So you’ll never have to settle for a flimsy all-plastic model.
The Little Joe 3 is a simple trunk-mount rack that offers the ability to hold three bikes at a very low price. To make it even better, the installation is super easy, thanks to the quick trigger hub system, and is secured by 6 adjustable straps with padding to protect your car. The Little Joe 3 is designed to fit a broad range of vehicles, such as sedans, minivans, and hatchbacks.

The Yakima LittleJoe is a compact and affordable way to haul three bicycles. LittleJoe sticks to your car's backside with a six strap system for a rock solid fit. Soft rubber pads protect new paint and keep your car looking good. The bike holding arms are vinyl coated for years of ding free use.

I already have two king cobras on my roof but wanted to be able to shuttle more bikes when needed. I bought this before a weekend trip that was nothing but shuttle rides and i am SO STOKED on this little guy. I would dare to say i like it better than the super joe my friend has. Since there are no "bumpers" to set your bike in, you have a lot more options of how to rack newer frame styles that often have small triangles between the top tube and the down tube. For my bike, this means i don't have to hang my bike where it will be sitting on any of my cables because i can fit the rack through that triangle. I also think that being able to nest the bikes closer together makes the whole thing really stable. I have actually been REALLY impressed with how stable it is.I generally take the extra strap lengths (from where the rack attaches to the car) and tie those to the frame of the bike to keep them on the rack nice and tight, but buying some cheap bungee cords is not a bad idea either. As long as you have the bikes tied on tight though, they don't sway an inch while driving.

| We are far from avid cyclists, and in fact my husband only just bought a bike and he's 32 years old, but now that we have a toddler, we figured we ought to get him out of the house every now and then. ;) I didn't want to spend a whole lot, but I wanted a good, reputable brand. This is a great product. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the pricier models, so we had to dig out some prehistoric bungees to tie the bikes to the rack, and then had to have my father-in-law fix the bikes so we wouldn't lose one on the way to the beach (my fault for not supervising the installation process), but now that we know what we're doing, it's great. It is a sturdy, quality item and I can see us getti | |

| I currently only need to secure one bicycle, and it would be great if there were a way to position that bike further out on the arms, for example some collars or rings on the arms. Also, the rack can be removed without opening the trunk of my sedan, so a thief could potentially easily remove the rack and the bike all at once. I know there are "tie-downs" included in some of the higher models, but it would seem that for a small price increase some sort of straps could be included with this unit. Aside from those suggestions this a very high quality piece of equipment and a great value for the price. | |

| Little Joe is all but little. After spending about 20min reading the vehicle specific direction, I decided to just try and get it on my car. I personally needed GLASS HOOKS for my Blazer, make sure you find a rack and accessories that match your vehicle make and model. Once it was on it was great. There aren't any built on bike grips so bungees are necessary, the ones that look like womens hair ties work well. Point is it works well as long as you know what your doing and don't overload, check bike capacity in the instructions. | |

I wrote a review back in 2007 and since then my little joe was stolen (out of my garage along with some beloved bicycles) but I thought i would come back to say I bought another one because I still loved it so much and found it so useful for maximizing the capacity of bikes on my car (a subaru impreza outback sport wagon). When you can carry five bikes (3 with the little joe and 2 on the roof) you can save gas money on the way to the trail!

This is a great rack at a good price, stable and I can open my trunk even with the bike on the rack! (requires some lifting and getting out of the way when the trunk closes, very carefully) It's holding up much better than the previous rack I had, I just would like to be able to keep the bike a little further away from the car, and the front wheel of the bike is wearing away the paint off of my bumper. Definitely a good buy.

Bike Racks | |

I needed a bike rack and since this was the cheapest one with a good brand name, I figured it would work. I was a bit skeptical when I opened the package and there were no secure holds for the bike, you just slide it on the arms and the bike rests against the car. I thought this would cause problems, but I actually liked it better than the other bike racks I have had with the cradles.

The bike rack is very well made an easy to use. You'll be hearing from me again as I se you carry Chaco footwear. I will be telling all my outdoorsy friends about you.

Simple, stable, and able to open the trunk with the rack on (without bikes). This little guy rocked the house. However, I wish it came with some bike loops to attatch the bikes to the bars. You have to use the extra straps to keep the bikes on.

| Very easy to set-up, but you will have to provide your own method to secure your bikes! And be aware of potential scratches the bikes could make on your vehicle, because the rack is small and close to your car! | |
