YAK0075 Locking Brackets

Rating:*****

These locking brackets are the way to go for security with the Yakima LoadWarrior or MegaWarrior. It was unclear on the Backcountry website, as well as in the Yakima catalog, and on their website, but each Yakima catalog #7064 package actually contains TWO locking brackets, with SKS locks and keys. Ordering two sets will lock down all four corners of these roof mounted baskets. No one that I spoke with on the phone at Yakima or Backcountry was aware of this fact either. I'm glad that I didn't order four.

"Great purchase and well worth the cost"

Rating:*****
This bracket is a great addition to your loadwarrior/megawarrior setup and provides welcomed peace of mind, knowing that your rather pricey gear basket isn't about to be lifted by some less than honorable outdoorsmen. Even better, it swaps in very simply, can be matched to the other SKS locks you already own, and comes in a package of two (so those of you who want to be ULTRA secure may want to order two).

Understanding Directions

Rating:*****

Locking bracket works great, not to hard to install... but... if you buy it at the same time as your Load Warrior, be sure to understand the directions to the Locking Brackets before you install. In my (lack of) infinite wisdom I just assumed that they would easily integrate once the Load Warrior was installed, but they didn't, and I basically had to "reinstall" the whole thing with the parts from this locking bracket.

"They work!"

Rating:****
Not that I'm really woried about someone steeling my load warrior, but the added security is comforting. The biggest plus of these is it helps cover the sharp ends of the bolts sticking up, so I don't have to worry about them tearing into a bag. To bad you only get two of these and not 4, guess I'll have to figure out something to keep the other two from ripping a bag.

Two in a Package!

Rating:*****

Peace of mind. That's what I call these. Once locked, these babies will keep your basket safe and secure. No need for worry when you leave your car at the trailhead overnite. You only need to buy one package because there are two locking brackets per package and you can secure kitty corners.

Great Product

Rating:*****

The instructions on the number of parts were a little misleading. There's 2 in a pack which is all I needed, although I bought 2 and ended up returning one. Regardless, this is a great product and BackcountryStore.com's customer service have made my return/credit a hassle-free experience.

"Great Product"

Rating:*****
Great product. I feel more secure about my roof investment while my car is parked unattended in the streets of manhattan. Moosejaw was able to match my cores for this product with my other cores so that I can use the same key for all locks.

Simple Math & Cheap Insurance

Rating:*****

Don't shell out $300 for a Mega or Load Warrior with dropping 30 clamps to keep it secure to the top of your car. Many a rack has been lifted off roffs with nice bikes and Kayaks still attached. Lock up your stuff!

"Good, easy-to-use device."
