first time
I wanted to learn to use a baitcasting reel and found this combo. The price was a great starting point and I've never regretted this purchase. this setup performs well, I use it 3+ times a week, and it performs the same all the time every time. After adjusting the drag and the break, this reel is an outstanding performer. I cant wait to try other reels and combos, but I'm pretty in love with this litthe setup.
really good setup
this is a really good setup for the money and have caught many fish off this rod and reel combo i have found it very good for popping frogs and its really durable i would recomend this setup to any one and i have had good luck with a zoom 8 inch red worm with a sive 5 hook carolina rigged amd the bites are non stop!!!!

I couldn't wait to spool it and try it out. I found my thump went over the spool automatically it was a great fit . The seven foot rod was a bit heavy as I am use the a medium or medium heavy action. I would recommend this to a friend.
BEST ROD & REEL FOR YOUR MONEY
This is one of the best rod and reel combo for your money. Smooth reeling, rarely gets bird's nests (If you adjust it right.) Great for people who never have use an open barrel casting reel.
