Adidas AX1 Lea Reviews:

Great shoe. Wanted an around town or at work athletic shoe that looked decent in a pair of jeans and would keep the toes warm in winter. This shoe looks and feels great. Lightweight, nice style, and a month in, seems very durable. Nice profile that conforms to the foot and doesn't look or feel like you're wearing a pair of bricks. The leather holds up well in Seattle rain and keeps the toes dry. I realize this is a trail runner, but as I indicated, I'm using primarily for day wear, so can't comment on its technical performance on the trail. The leather is warm, and I don't see myself being able to wear this in summer. Even with lightweight ankle socks, my feet tend to sweat if wearing at room temp for a while. I recommend the AX1 which is the mesh, non-leather version of this shoe. I picked up both versions and really like the AX1 as much as the AX1 LE. On sizing it is worth nothing that the AX1 LE is true to size, while the AX1 ran a half size small. I ended up getting the AX1 LE in 10.5, which is my normal size, and the AX1 in 11 after finding the 10.5 way too tight in the toe box. Overall highly recommend either pair as a comfortable and attractive athletic shoe.

This is a great, lightweight and comfortable sneaker. The arch support is decent, but with my flat feet I am able to easily remove the liner and replace with an arch support liner. There is still plenty of room left over after this, and because the shoe is so light the arch supports don't make it feel heavy at all. I've noticed that after 6 months or so of regular wear the materials fade and get a greenish cast - and I don't wear them in grass. They are so light, breathable, and comfortable that at this point I just replace them, I just wish the materials kept their color longer.

Used as my only shoe on a 6 month international backpacking trip. It had to be very versatile, and it was. Good enough tread for hiking, support enough for occasional jogs, comfortable enough for miles upon miles of walking every day, and plain looking enough to be able to wear into bars and restaurants. Only complaint is that the tread is so aggressive that it was mostly worn down after 6 months of everyday use. A little narrow feeling but not bad.

I have purchased this shoe twice! When I ordered this shoe for my husband in 2011, he loved them and wore them almost every day (the only reason he didn't wear them every single day was because he had to alternate his shoes to prevent major stinky feet). For this year's birthday, he specifically requested this shoe, so he's obviously very happy with them.

Great shoe. I have a long, narrow foot with high arch, and was looking for a comfortable hiking style shoe I could wear with khakis to the office. Love them! Very comfortable and light, exactly what I was looking for. Probably wouldn't be good for cold conditions, but don't need that in Louisiana!
