Just 22.7 Grams--Serves a Good Purpose

I own many a tail light for my bikes that are a lot brighter and more visible that the Flea, but the Flea serves an important purpose: it's very lightweight--just .8 oz (22.7 grams) making it practical to have a flashing tail light on the back of lightweight road bikes. All my other lights are too heavy for my sleek machine.

Look, we don't want to add needless weight to our carbon road bikes, but when you want that added level of safety on the road during the day, or if you ride at night and the law says you must have a light--there is the Flea. Isn't your safety worth an extra 22.7 grams?

Now this light is not the brightest of them all--but considering its weight, small mass, and the little rechargeable battery--it makes a good showing.

It has a super strong clip on it that when attached to my mini pack as seen in the photo, will not move a mm. It is as tight as if you glued it.

It also comes with a velcro strap too which I have not used.

The most fun part about the Flea that no other light I own has--it has a battery level meter! When you turn it off, it will flash green, yellow, or red representing battery life. So no excuse to get caught with a dead light. Carry the mini USB charger they give you, and you can charge it all over. No excuse to run out of power.

Neat and Bright Rear Bike Light

I bought the Blackburn Flea when I got my new road bike, about two months ago. I clip it onto my small utility bag that hangs from the saddle and the strong mounting clip means it doesn't bounce off. I use it on 'flash' mode and the visibility is really good during my daytime rides. (I don't ride at night.) I charge it up once a week and it hasn't ran out of power during my weekly usage. It's easy to charge but is a bit hard to pull off the bag loop when it needs the weekly charge but that's why it stays put.

So - So bike light

Comes with a velcro band to attach to seat post. Very hard to get secured correctly. Easier to clip onto a under the seat bag but I don't like them bouncy. Decent light for the price, but I wouldn't buy again.
