Osprey Kode 32 -

In bounds, out the gate, or full-on backcountry — the Osprey Kode 32 Backpack doesn't discriminate when it comes to a day out in the snow. This mid-sized ski pack holds your avy tools and other essential equipment for short tours or shredding the backcountry.

The Osprey Kode 32 was constructed from 420 denier nylon. It features an Airscape back panel that allows ventilation between you and the pack. For added comfort, the adjustable shoulder and chest straps have been molded from EVA foam. Meanwhile, compression straps and panel loading allow the pack to be configured according to what you need to carry. From ice tools to a snowboard, a dozen different arrangements are possible. Additionally, hip belt pockets allow easy access to your camera or phone. Everything is kept dry with an integrated rain cover. Gear carrying is for naught if you're parched by the time that you reach the peaks. For this reason, an external hydration pocket has been added in order to keep your thirst at bay.

Osprey Kode 32 Reviews:

Super stoked on this pack. I upgraded to this from a 22L pack because I found myself wishing I had more space on day tours. The back panel, hip belt, and load lifters make it really stable on the up and the down. I have also really appreciated the glove-friendly buckles on the straps on cold days. The spandex, stashable helmet carry is great for keeping snow out of your helmet on the skin track. So far, I can't find anything I would change with this pack. For those of you with experience with the Kode packs of the past, it seems that they have significantly updated the series this year. I would highly recommend this pack for day touring.

Best Back Pack I Have Ever Owned

Great backpack. I use it while skiing. Carries a 6 pack of bear, 3 liters of water, skins, and lunch very comfortably and can do so without pushing you off the lift. The loops on the side are perfectly designed for carrying skis while hiking. The design even eliminates the need for a strap for the tips of your skis.
My only complaint is that I usually like to ski with friends and we carry radios. I have not been able to find a onvenient place to mount a radio externally that always me to easily talk without taking my bag off. I just need to be more creative on how I attach it to the bag.

This is a great pack, it is large enough to carry a lot of gear, but not too big that it's obnoxious. It has a ski/snowboard carry, waist belt, shovel pocket, gear loops, enough pockets for accessories. It fits all my avalanche survival gear well and I can throw in a pair of snow boots and a couple of layers. It's really strong and lightweight.
