Remington Hypersonic Steel Shotshells Per Box -
Hammer fast-moving targets at 1,700 fps (12 ga.) with the fastest steel on the market. It shortens leads by up to 8" at 40 yards, knocking down more birds and fewer tail feathers. Its increased velocity delivers the speed you need to get in front of ducks and geese and puts more pellets in vital areas, like the head and neck, without affecting how you normally aim. Remington harnessed two-stage ignition technology to safely accelerate full-shot payloads to hypersonic speed. Its newly designed primer starts by lighting a smaller powder charge, which moves the payload forward to safely manage the pressure of the primary powder charge. During primary charge ignition, its exclusive Xeleratorâ„¢ wad delivers tighter downrange patterns and improved long-range hit potential. 25 shells per box. Per box.

The Best Shells on the Market...

I've tried a slew of different shells out there and these are the best 3" shells I've tried due to their speed and knock-down power. BB will bring down divers and geese easily. 2's are great on all size ducks. The 4's are a different story for me. I've had mixed results on mallards and pintails with the smaller size and it was "over decoy" range and closer. Maybe I can't hit'em close I don't know but I'd recommend BB's and 2's over 4's. I use a SBE II and Super Vinci and recoil is stiff but a box of shells goes a lot farther without shooting cripples. I get the best result with a Kick's High Flyer choke in either Mod or IC. The Kick's Vortex throws a little wider pattern especially with the 4's. I really like Black Cloud and Blind Side for closer work but the Hypersonics are fantastic for distances between 20 and 60 yards...all day, every day. An excellent shell that increases your odds of success considering what you pay for guns/boats/dogs/decoys/etc. it's a good investment.

In Flight brain surgery

Well I have shot a number of different brands of shot shells and these are by far one of the best. I was skeptical at first for two reasons. #1 I was afraid that with the high speed they would kick like a mule but actually they weren't bad at all(keep in mind I shoot a berretta A400 which is a gas gun) my dad who shoots a franchi also loves them. #2 I was afraid that at the high speeds they would pattern badly but actually when I patterned my gun before last season it gave me the best pattern of all the loads I tried(kent faststeel, remington sportload, black cloud, Hevi metal, etc) We got them in #4s because they give more pellets but because of the speed hit just as hard a regular #2 and we have had no problems knocking birds dead with them including mallards and geese at long range. Highly recommend them to anyone

Hypersonic

Fast & Deadly, Nuff said. I do not recommend for older guns (10 yrs +). I have seen two pumps and one semi take couldn't take pounding this ammo delivers.

Its great! But...

5 minutes into shooting time the day before thanksgiving I shot down a pintail hen with this stuff. A couple weeks before I shot a couple buffleheads with these shells. My only complaint is that the 3" shells dont eject out of my 3" chamber on my Mossberg 500. It works great, but Remington needs to make the shells about an 8th of an inch shorter.
