Slumberjack Esplanade 0F Sleeping Bag -
Built for the extremes of wintertime camping, this heavy-duty sleeping bag will keep you sleeping soundly through the worst bone-chilling nights. The Slumberjack Esplanade 0°F Sleeping Bag features dual-layer offset construction that maximizes heat retention by locking in warmth and sealing out the cold. An oversized side panel provides extra space so you can move around comfortably in the bag. The dual-layer hood can be flipped inside out to lay flat for extra ventilation or snugged tightly around your head for extra warmth. A draft collar and full-length draft tube over the zipper keeps cold from creeping in during the night. A convenient interior chest pocket keeps valuable safe and within reach. Imported.

Slumberjack Esplanade 0F Sleeping Bag Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Great bag for the price

I've had this bag for a year and used it on two separate cold weather campouts. Both times the temp dropped below 15F and windchill made it around 0. Was cozy and warm on both 3 day encampments (early Feb; late Oct). Just like anything, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't try to scale McKinley with these, but they are a good 4 season bag with appropriate precautions like dry, clean socks and long underwear when sleeping in cold weather. Regarding the sack, its a stuff sack, so stuff it in! It fits just fine if you stuff it in and don't try to roll it back up like the factory machine did. I own several brands of sleeping bags, and they've all got a stuff sack that is tight as a drum like this one. If you dont like the tight stuff sack, try buying a storage bag/sack that allows the bag to expand and is much easier to use.

Nice purchase

Bought this bag in the -20 degree model to hopefully gain some warmth on some cold weather elk hunts in Colorado. Was definately warmer as well as roomier with the rectangle design. I had read the reviews about the stuff sack not being big enough and problems with the zipper. While I agree the zipper does get caught in the fabric, if you are patient, it works just fine. If you use some effort the bag goes into the stuff sack and secures just fine as well. I have been pleased with all of my Slumberjack sleeping bags.

rolling a sleeping bag

No matter how tightly you roll a sleeping bag to fit it back into the stuff sack like it was when you bought the bag IT WILL NOT FIT. We used to try rolling our bags until we visited the Cabela's and was shown how to use the "stuff sack" Start with one corner and just start stuffing the bag into the sack. This will work with all sleeping bags, no matter what brand. Hope this helps all sleeping bag owners.

Negative Reviews:

Forget It

Please don't buy this bag. As stated in other reviews, it is neer impossible to get the bag out of the stuff bag and impossible to get it back in the bag. Also, the zipper is not good. You won't be able to close the bag from inside without catching the zipper. In fact, I could hardly close the bag from the outside, with both hands without having the zipper catch the inner materal.
