Tipton Carbon Fiber Rods -
Strong, lightweight, softer than barrel steel and naturally slick, carbon fiber is an ideal cleaning rod material. These cleaning rods exceed military standards. The carbon-fiber shaft is planted solidly through a palm-friendly handle and spins freely on twin ball bearings to hug rifling. Rifle and pistol rods are threaded 8/32 (.17-.20-cal. threaded 5-40).
Available:
BassPro.com
Carbon fiber shaft prevents bending, and ergonomic ball-bearing handle allows full following of rifling both pushing and pulling.

22-26x44" GREAT ROD!

Amazing! It appears the shippers ran over this with a fork lift about 4" from the tip. The cardboard carton, the thin plastic tube, and the rod were all damaged. I will take it to an archery shop to have it shortened and re-apoxy the brass end. Meanwhile I used it to clean a 264 Winchester and although it was damaged, it worked perfectly. Carbon fiber is TOUGH! I have 3 of these in different configurations after my daughter talked me out ot #4.
I called Cabela's wonderful customer service who offered an exchange if I paid the return shipping. I decided to save both of us money and just have it fixed.

NICE ROD

Does a nice job without being wimpy and too flexible.
