First impression

Just purchased this tent because I was attracted to its small size and weight (3 lb 5 oz) when packed, and its 4 season capabilities. I'm going camping within the month for a few days, and I wanted to get a feel for the set up and take down before hand so I set it up in the back yard. Everything was neatly organized and the layout was simple, however never erecting an internal frame tent proved to be more difficult than initially thought. Getting the poles to cross correctly in the center took a few try's but was not difficult. BD uses half snaps on the inside of the walls for the poles to fit into and getting the poles to stay was a challenge. When all said and done the walls and poles were tight and firm allowing for very little movement. Zipping up the door showed a little strain on the zippers but nothing serious. I decided to sit inside and get a feel for the size and ventilation. It is a very comfortable one man tent but seems to be a little crowded for two. Siting is roomy with ample head room and being 5'10" lying down was comfortable with some leg room to spare. The temperature inside grew very warm in the short time I was inside, partially due to the warm day we were having. Altogether ventilation could be improved.
Overall the product seems to be made well and is what I expected. I look forward to testing it in the field to see how good it really is!

Alpine tent

Great tent. Internal poles not the easiest, but not hard. Setting up in the dark at 30 degrees was a little challenge. Very simple design is great. Plenty of room for one with gear. Two people is snug, only do in emergencies. Packs down very small and is light. Have not used in snow or rain yet.
