Burton Joystick Snowboard 2012 Review

Hi this is Dave. Here I got the 2012 Burton Joystick. The size that I rode is a 156 wide. Sized for people with size 11 boots or bigger. Paired with the Burton Cartels, I think this is a pretty good all-mountain freestyle set up. It's got Burton's V Rocker, which is full reverse camber all the way from tip to tail. Full rocker so it's nice and playful, but it did have pretty good edge hold for a full rocker board. You could take it through the park. It's not where it excels, mostly just a playful all-mountain deck. Good for somebody who wants to cruise the groomer, and also take the occasional lap in the park. Gave the Joystick here 4 stars out of 5.

Superb All-Mountain Freestyle Board

The Burton Joystick is a great all-mountain freestyle snowboard. The flex sits right in the middle-of-the-road both from tip to tail and torsionally. This flex is versatile for making the mountain your playground. Burton also has consistent bases so the Joystick is speedy and its base holds wax really well.

Pop is very good thanks to the squeezebox and jumper cables. Edge to edge is responsive so the Joystick carves well. If you haven't tried Burton's V-Rocker profile, you're missing out. Nice and mellow rocker that gives you the added playfulness without feeling too loose.

If you like to make the entire mountain your park, I would highly recommend the Joystick.

Burton Joystick Snowboard 2012 Review

Hey everyone it's Fidel. I just got off a Burton Joystick in a 154. Awesome board, loved it last year, loved it this year. I give it a five out of five. Really responsive, really playful. My only complaint, maybe the 154 for me, since I'm a heavier guy it didn't hold its edge quite as well. If I could get this board in a longer length, I would definitely love it. Very stable, not as forgiving, but it is meant for a more advanced rider. Great edge holds, really quick edge to edge. I loved it - only complaint may need a little bit longer board for me.

Burton Joystick Snowboard 2012 Review

Hey, this is Ian. I just got done riding the Burton Joystick in a 154. I give this board a 4 out of 5 rating. Just a solid all around great all mountain board. With the V Rocker and with the Frostbite underneath, there really is a great edge hold. A little bit stiff, so it holds edge really well. Definitely meant for an advanced base rider, and just an all around fun solid board.
