It's a membrane that mimics your skin when it's time to text the meeting place to the crew on your touchscreen phone or change playlists on your music device.

Burton Touchscreen Liner Gloves Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

These gloves can work for either a girl or a boy! Thank goodness, I'm a very petite girl w/ small hands (I wear kids XL or adult XS football Underarmour gloves, just for reference) and the S/M ones fit very well! The Sumo print is adorable.
I got a pair for my BF in the M/L, after reading that these run big. I don't think they do at all; in fact, there's barely any difference between the S/M and M/L. This worried me because his hands are super skinny but his fingers are at least 1 inch longer than mine. However, they fit him perfectly.
Oh yeah-the gloves are very soft, thin enough to fit inside my leather winter gloves, and that touch-screen thingy is on both the thumb and forefinger! It totally works too! Some people complained in other reviews that they're too thin; I disagree. Thicker does not necessarily equal warmer. And sure, a little tackiness would be nice, but then that would make it difficult to slip in/out of your real gloves. So I think these were designed perfectly for the intended purpose.

I like these. They're not as bulky as wearing a knit touchscreen glove, and as long as you buy the right size (you might wanna buy one size smaller if you're unsure) they won't be loose. The thumb and finger pads, which seemed kind of unwieldy the first couple times I used them, have since molded to my fingers and work wonderfully.
My only complaint about these is that the material gets stuck very easily on Velcro, and since there is Velcro on both my gloves and my jacket, they have a few runs in them now. Doesn't affect their functionality, just annoys me.

the touchscreen things work but i wish they would have wrapped that material around the whole tip of the fingers. trying to text with one hand is a pain. but they work better when u hold the phone in one hand and actually aim your finger. if u just need to send a quick text or call someone theyll work. the gloves are super thin but surprisingly warm by themselves. if it wasnt for that i probably would have given them 3 stars. hey, its better than cutting the tip off the fingers of a pair of gloves

These are great for in the glove or mitt. I use these with my Burton AK Yeti Mitt's and they work great. On super cold days I would recommend something a little warmer but the touch screen feature is nice when I can get it to work, but better than now touch screen. I would get these and get something a little warmer to have a couple options throughout the season. These are not a waterproof glove to those who are wondering, they are a jersey knit tight weave liner.

This is a great glove to use as a liner or wear on your way up to the hill! It's really light weight and breathable. Won't do much for wind protection or warmth if you're outside moving around. But they are great as liners, and the touch screen pads are really handy. Fit a little tighter than other Burton Liners I have had but not so much so that I needed to size down. Overall a great liner!

John MC at Backcountry.com on 11/18/2012

If you are looking for a thin glove to wear under your main mitts/gloves, these are great. They are thin to not impede movement and still work great to cut down on the cold, when you take your hands out of your glove. In addition, the thumb and pointer finger have material on them, which transfers heat, allowing touch screens (iphones etc) to sense what you are doing.

Rich Wheeler at Backcountry.com on 12/23/2012

I love wearing these under my mitts! If I have to answer a text or call I don't have to worry about the cold wind nipping at my fingertips! The touchscreen works really well and the floral print is so darn cute. The fabric is very lightweight and dries fast. I definitely reccomend these to anyone looking for a touchscreen friendly glove.

Great for on and off the mountain and the color options are endless. Touch and go finger tips make a call or change tracks with out exposing your fingers. Fully washable and unisex sizing.

Works exactly like it says. Fit wells and provides the typical warmth you would expect from a liner.

Donde at Backcountry.com on 12/20/2012

Great liners. Love the Sumo guys.

Negative Reviews:

These gloves are terrible. They're fine as regular glove liners but the touch screen part is horrible and virtually useless. Don't make the mistake I made.

ste4649828 at Backcountry.com on 01/05/2013

Not impressed with these. The glove feels too big and is hard to use. I would say go with a knit style touchscreen glove
