Dmm Alloy Offsets -
These nuts are based on the famed HB Alloy Offsets and were produced using modified versions of the original HB dies. In typical DMM fashion we have brought them into the 21st century with colour coded sizing, recessed wires and lightening holes in the largest two sizes.

- The label is upside down so you can check the size easily when they are on your harness. The label is double sealed so that it does not tear with time and use.

- We use a full size crimp because this is critical to safety

- DMM's accurate heat treatment process optimises the physical property of the alloy to maximise bite.
- The nuts are all rumbled well to remove sharp edges that can hinder placement

- The wire used on each nut is chosen so that the nut can be placed at full reach without them flopping around.
- : Alloy Offset 7, 27g, 12kN, Gold
- We've recessed the top of the nut and countersunk all other drilled radiuses in order to avoid stress points where the wire enters the nut. This also totally protects the wire from abrasion damage.

almost perfect
These are great replacements/continuations of the HB offsets, with one minor problem. The chock/nut does not stay put at the end of the wire loop, but instead slides down to the middle of the loop when one lifts it up to place it. This means you have to put it between your teeth, pull it to the end, and try again. This is probably easily fixed with glue or tape. Other than that, they are great, and fit better than any other nuts I've used, inc. BD stoppers. For me, they are not a last resort to be used "when nothing else fits" -- they are always my first choice and work great in the Gunks, not just in Yosemite pin scars.
My go-to passive pro
I've used many different brands and designs over the last 30 years, and these are the best all-around nuts I've used. The offset design takes advantage of the fact that cracks are almost never parallel-sided. More often than not, if it doesn't fit perfectly the first time, I just flip it over and it settles in as though it had been made for that particular placement. Out of the box, the nuts do slide on the cable. A dab of epoxy cures that problem for good. The overall design is so good I can't give it anything but a 5-star rating, despite the need for a quick after-market mod.
Great nuts
Probably the best nuts for hard rock. They work great in most placements, especially flared cracks. Lock in easily and clean like a charm. Scooped out volume helps around crystals and irregularities. The double tapper gives two distinctive placement sizes for every piece. They have the same geometry as the original HB nuts but are a bit lighter and colour coded. The only improvements possible may be to have the colour coding extend to where they swage the wire and countersink the wire a bit more at the nut end.
Flexible placements, stays in place
We found a #11 offset on climbs. Why someone would leave this beauty behind is beyond me, My partner started using it quiet a bit. I was impressed with how easily it placed and the indentation really let's the nut lock in and stay in place. I was so impressed that I bought the whole set. Well worth spending the money and adding to your rack.

I added these to my rack and since have had to pick up doubles because they work so nicely! I climb alot at Red Rock and these seem to slot great between plates. Placement feels BOMBER!!
Awesome fit in flaring cracks!
These nuts are awesome in irregular cracks! Their offset shape make them fit in flared placements that would normally offer only marginal protection. They are durable when cleaning and color coded for ease of use.
A great addition to your rack!
These are a great complement to standard wedge-style nuts for filling out your rack. They fit pin scars, flares and grooves beautifully. I have these as well as the smaller brass models - Love them!
