MSRs new Lightning snowshoes represent the evolution of our groundbreaking Lightning Ascents. Like the Ascents, they feature a patent-pending Total Traction frame that delivers unrivaled 360° traction, as well as the same superior performance and usability. But because they don't include Televators, Lightnings are even lighter, making them ideal for use on flat and rolling terrain or any adventure that demands maximum traction and minimum weight.
The Mountain Safety Research Lightning snowshoes are superlight climbers that now feature a Total Traction frame - a single vertical blade made from aerospace-grade aluminum - for unprecedented 360 degree traction. These are ideal for use on flat and rolling terrain or any adventure that demands maximum traction and minimum weight.
With the lightweight, high-traction MSR Lightning Women's Snowshoes on your feet, you'll be floating over fields of snow. The Lightning's Total-Traction frame has a wave-like design that works wonderfully on flat and slightly rolling terrain. The serrated frame gives you 360-degree traction on hard-packed snow, and the tail's rocker design helps eliminate dreaded heel-drag. The Lightning snowshoe's aircraft-grade aluminum frame cuts down on weight, and the narrow design works well for a gal's stride. Step into the two-strap binding, tighten up, and head out into the wilderness. *Please see sizing chart for size tips.

Super lightweight, easy to put on, literally float on snow - it's really nice that all boots are compatible with these snowshoes. But the toe bindings for me DID budge - a lot - I almost lost a shoe! I'm definitely going to finagle some duct tape action or something to keep the toe bindings tight because I love the shoes otherwise. | |
