Designed specifically for the female body in conjunction with an orthopedic gait specialist, the Women's Lightning 22 Snowshoe is the standard in maximum traction at a minimum weight. Taking into consideration a women's shorter stride, faster pace, and narrower stance, these snowshoes are lighter, tapered, and more compact to minimizing muscle and hip fatigue. Additionally, the raised rear frame enhances a more natural stride while reducing heel drag. Using an Aerospace-grade aluminum rail that has been turned on its edge allows for a super light Total-Traction frame with 360 degrees of strategically serrated gripping edge. Combined with the True Hinge toe crampon, this snowshoe provides unparalleled security. A smaller fitting, precise two-strap step-on binding accommodates a variety of boots that make it quick and easy to trade with a friend. Designed with 100% waterproof materials, the urethane deck and straps won't freeze up, and remain easy to use in all conditions. The Women's Lightning 22 Snowshoe is best when you and your pack weight are 125 lbs. or less on flat and rolling terrain.

Like the first-of-their-kind Women's Lightning Ascents, MSR Women's Lightning snowshoes were designed in conjunction with an orthopedic gait specialist. They feature the same superior performance and usability, including unrivaled 360° traction, as well as a narrow, lightweight frame that's specially engineered for a woman's stride. But because they don't include Televators, Women's Lightnings are even lighter than Ascents, making them ideal for use on flat and rolling terrain or any adventure that demands maximum traction and minimum weight.

The Women's Lightning Snowshoe by MSR was designed in conjunction with an orthopedic gait specialist. Best snowshoes I have found on the market | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I have driven a lot of snowshoes for work and play, but these are in a class of there own. While they will work fine on a backed trail were they show there true colors is of the beaten path. They preform well on everything from slopes with rotten snow to rolling hills with deep drifts. The snowshoes also are light enough and the width is thin enough you can almost walk normally over the snow. You also have enough traction that you do not have to worry about a lot of slippage once you have your foot placed even if you are wearing a pack. | |
