I'm a husky fella (5'9" 225lbs) and these are the best fitting/cut swim trunks I've ever come across. The lemon lime trunks I originally got (large) still look the same as the day I got them. I recently picked up a another pair, but I decided to go down a size. The mediums are a tad too small, and the larges a tad too big.
I've worn them for a week straight while camping/hiking and didn't have a single problem. No chafing, no riding up or falling down. Just comfort.
I sported these on a 33-day canoe trip this past summer, with rugged conditions and the did an amazing job. They would dry quickly, were a tough material, didn't chafe and had a great retro look to them. They are a little short, but they are better to walk in because of that. Highly recommend.
I wear these everywhere. In the summer I'll wear these wading in the river while fishing. I've taken them on the AT and they held up well. They're super comfortable and fit well. I wear a 38 and the L was a bit tight on me, I recommend a XL for that waist size.
I got them on sale so it was a complete no-brainer but seriously, if you're considering at all, get them. I don't need to go into details because these are so solid they don't matter. The comfort, look, and durability are simply things that you want and these will give you all three.
Touch cold in the winter - but only getting too/from the hot springs. Perfect once you're in. Great for everything else. Perfect for spending days on the river. Or backpacking, or climbing, or well, the list goes on. Fits true to size and lasts!
These are great shorts! Perfect to take on a hike, or for a swim. I love that they have longer and shorter versions, too. Normally, I think Patagonia runs slightly large, but these seem to be a perfect fit.
Bought my first pair in summer of 07. These are the best shorts I've ever owned. Truly a "do anything" pair of shorts. Whether it be hiking or bar crawling you're going to be comfortable and looking good.
I had a pair off these years ago. Of course they dont make them the same now, different material. There great and all that but I have an issue with their sizing. I ware a 38 and they say a 38 is XL so thats what I got and their tooooo big. Large would of been just fine. Like all Patagonia stuff its only worth buying on sale.
