Nothing goes with trad climbing like a cold on in camp

This thing removes stuck gear and opens a bottle at camp. What else do you want it to do? Carry your pack for you? The one drawback is that the backside is a little too skinny to really bang on it when youÂ’re working on a stuck stopper. Fix this problem by wrapping the back with tape, giving you a soft pad to hit the palm of your hand.

| I received my nut tool shortly after I ordered it. I'm crazy about it in all its duality (it wants to sweat out a few climbs, but it also wants to open beers for me on the couch). My friend said we could've made one of these, but not for $7. Great deal, thanks Moosejaw! | |

I find this gets the job done. It also helps to place nuts in places that are just out of reach. I find myself using a big screw driver to remove many a stuck nut as well the screwdriver - just gives better leverage.

| A nut tool is a nut tool. This is one of the cheapest ones that you can get. Indispensable for the leader and follower for trad climbing. It would be be better if the hook wasn't so prominent but you can file it down. | |

| Great length for a nut tool when digging gear out of cracks. The biggest adjustment I would make would be to add a gate for easy removal from the harness, but in terms of a straight forward tool, it is very efficient. | |

| It's not very beautiful, neither is it very sofisticated.. actually it's ugly with that key shape and empty spaces... but as climbing is about useful, reliable, simple and light stuff, this tool has everything you would expect... | |

| Simple nut tool, looked somewhat weak in the pictures but when I got the tool in the mail I was relieved the see that it was much more durable than the pictures. | |

simple, lightweight, a necessary component of any rack, hurts the palm a little for a nut thats really stuck but part of the game is not being a whiney little b!+(h

This is the standard nut tool, lightweight and works pretty well. I usually end up hitting the end with a carabiner to get more force than using this with finesse though.

| This nut tool does as good as job as any other like it has done. It would be great for a starter kit or as a backup. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. | |

| Unfortunately I have another nut tool that I prefer (Ti ¨Ushba¨ from Russia). I think all nut tools should have a small flat section on the non-hook end (like my Ushba and some other brands) so you don´t have to hack up your hand (or Krabs when your desperate). Fine if you have a rock or aid hammer though . Stamped out of sheet and unmachined, so the edges are sharp. Good shape on the hook, nice weight saving relief. I keep mine as a backup, and a cool bottle opener, for after a long days climbing. | |

| The bd nut tool is pretty basic, but it does the job. There is nothing specal about it, but what do you realy need out of a nut tool exept to get your pro back. | |

It does the job, but can be a little rough around the edges, but i guesse if you are worried about scratched hands, climbing might not be for you...lol.

I prefer the palm guard found on some other nut tools. This certainly works though.
