CWX Insulator Stabilyx Tight Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

These are true compression tights and as such fit much snugger than a regular running tight. I contacted the company directly prior to purchasing to double-check their sizing chart. I went by the CW-X chart and their reps' recommendation. These tights come with special directions describing how to put them on -- follow it. They are more like womens nylons in this way and should be positioned properly and really snug for the stability fabric to do its job. I've been training in these on my runs (3-10 miles) in the New England winter (6F-36F degrees) and they keep me warm enough for this type of activity and do a decent job of hampering the wind. I recently had a small pull in my quad muscle days before a race -- the tights helped significantly in supporting my leg for the race (I was even able to set a PR!). Tights are well made and look good on. I'm saving up for another pair and will be getting their compression shorts for summer running as well.

I am a new runner - no experience whatsoever. But I do have a cranky left knee due to over-stressing it a few years ago, and I ski casually as well, so I'm familiar with how tired and achy my knees can be. My knee issue mostly stems from having weak quads, which puts too much stress on the knee joint itself. So far, these feel GREAT. On the bitter cold days, I wear something light over them, but overall, they're plenty warm enough and they definitely reduce the amount of stress my knee feels. I haven't felt that awful ache since I started running. One suggestion - when they say to pull them into place over your knees before getting them the rest of the way up, they're not kidding.

This is the best running gear purchase I have ever made. Great warmth with no extra weight. Seams are very comfortable, not always the case with a compression tight. I wear these not only for running (October thru March), but as a base layer for cross country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing and hiking. I have had these pants now for 2 years now, wear them multiple times per week and am not fussy about laundering them in a particular fashion and they are still like brand new!!! This is the first time I have ever written a review for anything because I am that impressed.

i bought the cw-x insulator stabilyx tights and used it for this past weekend race - ozark endurance run in the state of MO. it really works for me! compare this product with the other normal stabilyx tights, this tights is slightly more heavy/thicker but it is very breathable. it shields me from feeling cold (the normal one would still do the job but you probably could feel a little wind still). totally recommended it. :)

Worth every penny for the serious runner. I wish I had found out about these running tights sooner!! After finding them on zappos.com and reading all the reviews I had just had to order them. Today I was so excited to test these tights out. Supportive and tight but very comfortable. I ran my 12 miles around Green Lake- no fatigue, no pain just serious running!! I shaved off 10+ minutes from my run! Amazing!

like these better than my other pair

Loved my first pair of CW-X insulator Pro Tights. Based on the reviews I got a second pair this time the CW-x Insulator Stabilyx Tight and I like these better around the knee. I am 5' 5" 127lbs and got the small which fits great but could be a tad longer from knee to crotch for me. They are very supportive and warm, great for skiing the powder!

As if these needed another five star rating, but they are just that awesome. They somehow provide lower back support. I am not sure how that works, but I am definitely not complaining. People have actually stopped to cheer for me when I run in the park in these. They just make you look fast!

These are great, they have a lot of compression. The wind front works well, though the backs of my legs get chilly in sub 20F temps. Would be excellent for skate skiing as well as running, I think. The size medium is right for 135lbs/5'6".

Nice warm running tights, I'm not sure if the compression alleviated muscle fatigue, but I love the tights. A very snug fit. I'm a size 4-6 and got a small and they "just" fit.

I love these tights! Tried them out this weekend, and they kept me toasty warm. Legs felt great after hiking for 6 hours. Worth every penny. Seriously.

Neutral Reviews:

I just bought these and tried these out...they feel like the pinch the backs of my knees. I'm between xs and small so I got the small. They fit on right but it's uncomfortable. Also, I wore these in about 23 degree weather and my legs were freezing! I'm really disappointed because I read such great reviews...If they didn't pinch the backs of my knees I would keep them because they do look rather awesome. Also, the drawstring? Extremely long! And then ends of the string are not finished so they are frayed; such a disappointment for a $120 pair of tights.
