Best State Fair shirt ever

I got my shirt as a birthday present and wore it for the very first time at the "Great Minnesota Get-to-Together", the Minnesota State Fair.
I was blown away with how comfortable the Fezzman shirt was. It surpassed my expectations for a Patagonia product. I was in the sun all day with temps in the upper 80's and the shirt was very comfortable. I got sprayed with water all over my back and side during a lazy river rafting ride and was surprised with how fast this shirt dried. During the ride I thought that I would be soaked and uncomfortable for the rest of the day, I should have worn a "technical shirt" one that dries fast. I didn't need one, the Fezzman shirt dried very quickly.
This is a great shirt! I am definitely going to get another one or two. I would highly recommend this shirt, it not only looks great, but feels comfortable and dries quickly.

6 months backpacking Southeast Asia and counting.

Short-sleeve button-ups have never been my thing. But after 6 months backpacking across Southeast Asia, it's this shirt that I practically live in. The cut is relaxed in the right places, and the pocket is handy for bus tickets and a stash of Rupiah, Ringgit or Riel. It packs down to nothing and magically never looks wrinkled. And when everything gets washed in the sink, the Fezz is the first to dry. From the jungles of Borneo to the Andaman Coast, this shirt brings form and function to backpacking in the tropics. We post 5 photos per day on our project's blog (WeHadABadIdea.tumblr.com) and I'm sure you can spot me wearing it plenty.

Awesome shirt

The Fezzman has a great cut, I'm 5'8" 190lbs and the med fits me trim and slim without being too tight. The sleeves are just the right length (just above mid-bicep), the length is not too long. The cloth material is sturdy and solid while being quick wicking and drying. Depending on the pattern and colorway you get, these can totally be worn in the office. But of course, in true Patagonia fashion, they are definitely sturdy enough for the woods or the rocks. Awesome shirt and it doesn't wrinkle easily. It's the "simplest" of their button-down shirt designs and that's why I think I like it so much.

A nice all around shirt

This is a great all around shirt for use in many situations. It is good for the office and grabbing a beer in a respectful place. I wear it all the time, even for 10 hour days in the hills. It breathes well, as it fits a little loose. I am 6' and 180lbs with an athletic build and the shirt fits well, but is a little loose. The Go To shirt would be a better shirt for a slightly more formal shirt, but the Fezzman is perfect for all else. It is the very best for summer BBQ and the local brew fest.

BEST!

I now own 5 of these...it is in my opinion the best material ever for a casual shirt. If you do not own one you should. It is nice feeling material but not to soft to where it feels like it will fall apart. Has kind of a more burley feel but sill very light and this thing never wrinkles!! even if i leave it in the dryer crinkled up it sill usually unwrinkles when i hang it up. Best shirt ever. Cut on it is more fitted than loose id say so size up if you like yours loose.

Quality Shirt Classic Patagonia Style

I'm the kind of guy that buys a new shirt and wears it constantly. My new Fezzman has been in continuous use since I bought it two months ago, through many wash cycles and is holding up great. It is a great spring/summer shirt that is no hassles and looks good on the trail and in the office. I'm a skinny guy so I size down to S for the regular fit items (usually a M for the athletic fit items like R1 pullover) and the fit worked out great. This will be in my closet until it's worn out.

You can't destroy this shirt

The Fezzman is pretty much my go to shirt, especially since they made the long sleeve version. I've had probably over 15 in my lifetime. The oldest one in my closet is 6 years old. I sell them on e-bay for around 15 - 20 bucks once I'm tired of them because you cannot destroy them. I've hiked, mountain biked and camped in them and they look just as good as the day I bought them. The fit is perfect, not to tight, and not to baggy. A timeless design/style and I think its Patagonia's best shirt.

Comfort Uber Alles!

All the comfort of cotton, but none of the fuss, and a great price as well. THE shirt to wear when you're going to a late afternoon BBQ that might turn into a night out, as it perfectly straddles the casual/dressy divide. Part of my daily commute involves a few miles on the bike, often in hot weather, and I'm always looking for a shirt which can handle a little exertion yet still looks calm and composed when I get to the office, and the Fezzman does the trick perfectly. Fits true to size with minimal shrinkage.

Shirt Speaking

Reviewing a piece of P. gear after only a couple of months of use does'nt reflect the primary reason for the purchase: the ability to hold up over the years. But you asked now. The shirt is great in that it's comfortable, can be packed/ not washed and still look good, and can be worn in a variety of pursuits. A recommendation would be to add a couple of inches to the length so it stays tucked in while active.

feels like super-fine egyptian cotton

I was looking some new summer shirts for work and casual wear. I liked theFezzman fit best and the feel of the fabric reminded me of my super-fine egyptian cotton shirts. I am 6'1", 190 lbs and the large is a good fit. Not to slim , not to baggy but enough room for a t-shirt underneath if needed when cooler. They came out of the drier looking great .. no ironing .. not that i would!

Negative Reviews:

Sizing is Off

XXL fits like a Large on this shirt, really under-sized.

Versatile

I have developed an affinity for my Fessman shirts over the years. They are versatile, 'go-to' shirts. It is not my favorite shirt for look or comfort but I do not mean to sell it short for those reasons. It is a fine shirt. It's just that I reserve my better Patagonia shirts for more special occasions, I don't like laundering them too often. Whereas I just use and reuse the Fezzman with little concern. It launders great and looks fine every time I pull it out. It is a good everyday shirt.

Different Fits

I have bought these shirts in the past and love them. However it seems that the fit has now changed. I am 6'3" and 245 pounds and usually wear a XL or XXL. I didn't notice but the tag says "Regular Fit" now and it was really snug through my shoulders and arms. I returned the shirt. I will be looking for the "Relaxed Fit" from now on. The "Regular Fit" even in the XXL is for a very trim and fit person, not what I would say is XXL typical.

Good shirt, washes in sink well

This is a good travel shirt, especially if you're travelling overseas and want to keep things light. It washes well in the sink and dries quickly. Not sure I would agree with it being as cool-wearing as they claim it be. I had this on during 90 degree heat and high humidity and it clung to me like a glove. I was actually quite happy to get it off when I got back to the hotel.

nice shirt. however, i am tall; unfortunately there is not enough length.
