Acorn Bold Boots Review:

Reviews:

Good: Greenish. Bad: Flimsy?

I was expecting the leather to feel tough, like Doc Martens, but it doesn't feel like it. It's like they used the thinnest leather they could find. I suppose time will tell if they are good quality (it doesn't feel obvious). The canvas part feels pretty tough. The bottom sole is this weird wood / rubber hybrid material, which I kind of like because it feels earthy hippy. I am going to keep them primarily because they are acceptable and I am too lazy to return them.
A word of caution about the tongue: it is loose from the base up. It isn't connected to the boot, higher up... which means that it is less water proof than it could be. Maybe these boots will be good in slush, but I wouldn't want to accidentally walk in a pot hole or shovel snow.
