I've been wearing Asics for 15 years and the DS trainer for 5. I really like the fit of the new update - much less bulky than previous models. However, I've worn an 8 in this model for years (last pairs were DS trainer 16s) and now need a 7.5. I wear a 7 in other brands and typically size up a full size for Asics since they run small. The major difference is a much wider toebox that on my narrow feet bunches up when I tighten the shoe properly. Basically if you have wide feet maybe stick with the same size as in the past, but folks with narrow feet may want to size down. As for the color, I'm not crazy about it - I'm a bit more of a low-key girl, but I like this shoe so much for the fit that I'm going to suck it up.
These shoes are fantastic running shoes! They're very lightweight, extremely comfortable, and they look cool, too! In fact, I just ordered a second pair so I can leave one pair in my gym locker at work. I highly recommend these shoes!
I have gotten the DS Trainers the past 3 years and these are the best yet - they shaved an ounce off the weight so it's a lot lighter and less bulky. Super comfortable and I love the color scheme
I love asics shoes. These do not have as much padding as the regular running shoes but I wanted a light version for travel. Very happy with these.
These are the most comfortable running shoes I've owned. I needed something with post on the inside and these did the trick. I wish they had other colors.
