Very comfortable. The light interior lining is a boxer length with perfect tightness so it doesn't roll up. I have a 30"waist and the S size fits well, on the snug side, which I prefer - if you like loose fitting shorts, I suggest you order a larger size than what you usually buy. I ordered three and may get more!
I purchased these Asics along with a pair of 'Under Armour Escape 7" Solid Short' and found the Asics to be a little snug, running a little tight, but comfortable enough. For me, it's almost like having compression shorts on. I do prefer a slightly looser fit but these work, they look good and they are built to last.
These shorts are awesome. They're the perfect length. They've got a built in compression-liner.
Negative Reviews:
I love the fit and got three pair of these shorts but they're cheaply made and are falling apart. Each pair I own developed tears on the seam that joins the liner to the inside of the shorts. The tears were apparent after a single use, and the shorts fit fine - the seams are just not well-sewn. One pair is even coming apart on the outer seams. A bummer, because it's hard to find athletic shorts that don't touch the tops of your knees.
They are potentially awesome shorts, I just wish they weren't so cheaply made. Like others have said, the liner came unstitched at the waist line on both sides...the first time I put them on. I returned them immediately. Too bad because they look great and felt even better. Oh well.
